Hard to say cuz perplexity runes are so cheap right now it actually seems like perplexity is the best profession but I’d guess it’d be between mesmer, and warrior atm.

What?… guardian obviously! I can beat anything on my warrior except a tanky retal guardian.

I’m guessing you mean inside WvW, since perplexity runes are unavailable in sPvP.

Mesmer and Necro. By far.

Most probably Necromancer and Mesmer, as the current state of the game is. Necromancer has insane condition pressure and mesmer does insane damage over all. Guardian, Thief and Ele would most probably rank second, Warrior have about one build that works pretty well in a duelling situation (mace shield, hammer), and engis and rangers have to be played very very well to compete with others.

Mesmer and Necro in my opinion, some Warrior builds are quite strong as well with it. Though you have to remember 6/6 will be nerfed and the duration is bugged so dont work.

Shatter or Condi Mesmers imo.. with Condi Engi coming a close second.

Warrior, Guard, Necro some Mesmer builds

If its between necro and mesmer as said above, then mesmer by far as there’s no way a necro has the capabilities to deal with a properly played mesmer. No way no how.

I think the Condi Mesmer is the strongest dueling build right now. I play it in the dueling arenas nightly and it stomps everything 1v1. Even other mesmers.

You sure about that Ross? It’s true Mesmers are the hardest thing for me to beat but I have beaten them. Note I am not a condi necro, but a power necro.

Condition necro is strong but is hardcountered by skullcracker regen warri, that is if the necro didn`t trait 30 SR stability which is only common for power necros, but that`s not the kind of necro people cry about. Since these warriors lose to deception mesmers, I`d say the always blinking, invisible condition mesmers win the trophy.

Yeah, you`re right, and if the warrior decides to disengage, the mesmer can hardly do anything about it. But since the matchup condinecro – condimesmer is somewhat fun and defintely challenging, it`s ok for me. Arcane thievery vs conditranfer, who fails will lose the match.

I run feedback and null field instead of thievery. Stacks bleed and confusion like a mofo with the iduelist lol

This one is hard to pin down(I have re-wrote my post 3 times already)

My initial impression was to say Mesmer 20/20/30 condi build but then I thought that a tanky guardian or warrior won’t die to that build as long as they are smart when they have confusion on them and don’t run around killing the clones all the time. They might not kill the mesmer but it be a draw, then you take a phantasm/high damage mesmer and they can wreck a guardian and warrior.

Then there is everyone else and I don’t change up for duels but usually if I lose a duel for some reason on my mesmer I know the fight is different if I just change a off hand weapon.

I have to give to mesmer. I have a necro, warrior, ele, thief and mesmer.

Mesmer with staff no matter the builds purpose (condi or power) against most classes really depends on if you have a torch in your off-hand or a pistol. No other class that I play or know about changes that much a duels outcome. (why dueling should be taken with a grain of salt though it is fun)

Staff condition mesmer. If anyone disagrees then he rarely roam/1v1.

Best to worst:
Mesmer > Warrior > Necro > Engie > Ranger. Beyond that I do not know.
And keep in mind the correctly traited and countered build in the hands of good to great players any class can beat any class.

pretty much this

war/guardian because they are GW2 devteam’s posterboys, they are excellent in everything, inmune to nerfs since release, and need practically no skill whatsoever. autopilot really, braindead classes

mersmers because well played they can be the ultimate troll class

necros because they current meta favours conditions, and necros are excellent at that particular meta

That Sword/Pistol Scepter/Sword Phantasm mesmer can wreck just about anything 1v1, except other mesmer builds.

ether feast, portal, decoy, blink, mass invis.

just portal-kite while keeping phantasms wailing. get good at timing your blocks and blurred frenzy.

vs ranged swap feast for mirror, portal for feedback. if its a condi ranged swap blink for arcane thievery

vs anything scary add Moa.

you can be outplayed on any build but assuming equal skill anything other than a mesmer is going to have a bad time.

also this build sucks outside of 1v1.

Trap a fool with RoW, wail on ’em hardcore. Guard Hammer packs KD too, you know.
And Guardian has a good deal more sustain, compared to a Warrior.

except for the phantasm mesmer i mentioned that can just blurred frenzy, block, block, shatter 4 for distortion, RoW gone and no hits were landed.

I love dueling i wish FA had an official Dueling scene (unless they do but im unaware of it) anyone wanna duel my cleric hammer warrior is welcome to. Will be on later in the evening

it is possible tho a hammer guardian is not the best build i guardian has for 1vs1 in my opinion tho it is possible.

i would gess its the warrior, mesmer and necro leading right now.
