I’m currently a T3 on Stormbluff, considering a transfer. Is life better on any of the other tiers?

Pick a server and level a free account in your spare time. I keep an account on SBI and AR, being able to switch back and forth helps keep me from completely burning out.

Honestly, I was a little surprised when you showed up on FA, but T2 is definitely the place to be for players that enjoy challenges and are looking for good action from NA to OCX times. We will be building upon that.

FA and SoS are not t2 quality anymore. They are more t4-t5 stuck in limbo. Since anet is helpless to help themselves move servers where they need to be. The ratings take forever to change. We don’t even need ratings to find where servers need to be. A dev that can manually control tiers is all that’s needed.

I’m curious. Are you on FA or SoS? It seems that you are just making guesses.

While the NA is lower than previous T2 standards, FA and SoS both have more off-hours coverage than some of the T3 servers and definitely more than T4 servers. That’s why they are “in limbo” in T2. Look at coveragewars2.com if you don’t believe me. On top of that, FA and SoS have been able to hold relatively stable against a T1 server in the T2 match without any server going major overtime to do it.

While T3 would be a good place to rebuild for FA and SoS, T3 isn’t going to happen unless T3 servers start working to earn T2 or T1 servers start pushing hard. T2 rebuild isn’t going to happen unless players like Stormbolt start transferring to T2.

And you’re right: “The ratings take forever to change.” Doesn’t it make more sense to preserve rating instead of waiting forever for the adjustment?

I’m on FA. I’ve been on FA since a month after release… I don’t play NA prime time very often. I’m normally on for few hours just before prime time. A lot of guilds that were on FA for a long time have left and theres not much leadership. It’s basically karma train, taking keeps and towers back. Covn, Dcon and who else is left playing? TK, fort, Bomb . I see tyryon commanding more now.

Yea, there’s no major guilds rallying during your play time. The few hours before NA prime had no guilds rallying like a year ago before all the stacking into T2. CL was the only one because they are Chilean timezone. TK is EU timezone guild and the others you named are NA prime. Stormbolt apparently plays late night, when we have some guilds rallying. The WvW participation of a few hours out of the day doesn’t make a server T4-T5. That’s one of the issues with the glicko 24/7 system unfortunately.
