Whats some of the new things to come for WvW in Path of Fire expansion?

PvP like WvW and Spvp have their OWN Updates… So expansion dont bring anything new to these parts of the game outside of the new classes…

WvW and spvp updates changes happens separately so after they expansion launched later we will get new updates and stuff for pvp and wvw

ALSO changes like changing the landescape allready happening in wvw

as i said these changes are 100% separate

Nothing inherent for wvw, we got a couple major updates already. What I will say is that elite specs are going to bring in a new variety to an existing meta. While that is originally for PvE content, since builds matter more in WvW than it does in open world gameplay or story gameplay, I’d say that’s what PoF is bringing to WvW

Pof brings a doubled edged sword to wvsw. Its more of the same in terms of pve/story (played the demo thing), and it brings the new elites.

So people who buy it cause they enjoy the same old pve…..will get new content for wvsw via the elites.

People who don’t buy it cause they don’t enjoy the same old pve…..will be denied a place in the wvsw meta cause they don’t have these new elites.

So if your feeling all warm and cuddly about this, just realize there’s someone outside in the snow piling the coal into ur furnace.

I think their response was:

We’ll release things for WvW when we want.
These may or may not be included with PoF
We will release things over time.

But as with HoT, if you dont buy the expansion and use the new specialisations, you will put yourself at a large disadvantage, therefore in order to compete you will have to buy it; not for the game, or the PvE or the PvP, but in order to just continue playing WvW, whether it ever gets new content or not!

A-net will create PoF related reward tracks in wvw, so you can get some of the PoF loot that way. Incase you ran out of useful reward tracks in wvw. The elite spec will still be slightly better than the core spec. A-net has balanced the elite spec to fit a specific purpose, so the HoT elite spec will still have a role.

I don’t know how you can come in here and make a claim like that. All the specs from HoT also fit a specific purpose and yet they were all better than vanilla specs. Plus Anet does a terrible job of balancing. Highly doubt that’s going to change.

You just restated what I said in a different way :P. I would not say A-net is terrible at balance patches. Its just that some professions have been hurt alot with nerfs every now and then.

Basically, elite specs and the balance patch. That’s about it.

In the last 6 months there has been updates to wvw than there has been in the last 5
years!
We have a legendary backpack, stat selectable armor like legendary armor pretty much, a better system for moving up and down. Wvw tracks and also gliding was added. They’ve been adjusting combat skills too.
Basically wvw has been getting slowly adjusted because they don’t want to mess it up.
When the desert bls came up people got upset so the things they are doing are gradual and they test it out.
People just have to have patience.
ALSO When POF comes out next month there will be new specializations. And this armor and backpack and gliding stuff to me felt like an early expansion bonus to wvw.
Wvw is changing for the better recently.
