One of the things I was looking forward to with this patch, was the ability to spend some of my badges, turns out I have to keep waiting and I would really love to know for how long?

The new skins are horrible, I am not as offended that they are recycled from other areas of the game, as I am that they recycled the worst of the worst. Why not give us some cool stuff, and really why can WvW not have some unique skins of its own?

While I appreciate the fact that we can now buy different types of armor with our badges, something that really should have been in place at launch and added much sooner then now, but I really have to question the thought process of combining gold with badges? When I run dungeons and get badges, I get to buy my gear, no need to also spend gold, so why is WvW given the special shaft of having to spend at least half the crafting cost of an item? My limiting factor of buying gear in WvW is still gold.

Where is our ascended gear? I never expected to be able to buy all the ascended gear, but I thought what might happen is that one of the ascended slots would be accessible from WvW. Here we are another month and nothing for WvW.

So my question is, are we actually ever going to get something useful or should we just trash all our badges to fee up storage space?

4750 Badges and counting in my banks….

I spent 1500 badges yesterday on siege after seeing the “amazing” skins u can get with badges…..

At this point I believe Anet devs are either trolling very, very hard or just hate us WvWers very very much.

No, they dont hate us. They simply have priorities, and WvW is pretty low on the list.

I’m glad it not only takes badges to obtain the weapons now, but 1gold too- as if wvw’rs make piles of money…

Spent nearly 2k badges and and about 11g yesterday to re-gear my mes for WvW. Opted to spend another 7g for Sylvari T2 cultural armor because the existing WvW armor skins are ugly as sin (not to mention my mes looks sweet in that cultural set).

Spent most of my badges on Cleric gear for my guardian today. Fully geared, but looks just as generic as any other OH HAI I NEW TO GAME AND USE THIS AS PROGRESS GEAR toon in the game :/

Heh. I must be the only one what had a good experience with the new armour.
Think Condition Mesmer: I was missing Rabid boots/coat, until last night …
Here I thought I’d have to blow ~30 G for Khilbron’s. (But, yes – I did keep the look of my Karma coat.)

On a related note: love the weapon skins. Just tricked my Asura Thief’s weapons out.
T2 Cultural/Some Glyphics … not bad, and cheap.

They don’t hate us. They just don’t care about wvw. Anet wants all the resources spent on adding content to pve. This is supposed to be the wvw patch but we get more pve content than wvw. This wvw patch took almost 8 months, so there won’t be any new wvw content in another 6 months.

At this point, I’m not sure what to do with my badges that is taking up half of my storage. I was hoping I could buy ascended gear with the badges after the patch but was disappointed as usual.

Pvp has always been the end game for numerous mmos. People are leaving gw2 because of a lack of end game. I just don’t understand why Anet isn’t spending more time in adding content to wvw to enhance this major part of gw2’s end game.

Do WvWers really care about skins so much?
Personally I’m looking to squeeze every extra FPS I can get for the zergs.
I can’t even tell what colour your armour is, that’s if I can see anything but your nameplate of course.

1000 badges spent on siege yesterday, was hoping for some unique skins with the patch. (just saying if you had of put Fused weapons in a badge vendor instead of RNG in BLC) You’d have made a lot of people happier

I care about looks. Its a character i will look at as i play with it for a long time. But even if you dont care about looking super awesome, the set thats available is just… pretty bad.

Its a set thats, i think, related to bandits. So its worn out, stitched together, scraps. Very fitting seeing as any pure WvW player is broke and probably couldnt afford real armor. But its not nice to remind us!
