Is it already in and will be send out automatically this evening? Or will we have to wait until next patch at tuesday?

I guess everyone will get the chest per mail to avoid problems we had in the past(where some people got stuff and some did not and they had to send out a 2nd time) and then only the people with key from meta achievement can unlock it?

I imagine it will be a popup chest just like other achievement chests.

Not really, they had 7 weeks to do it and can just delete it if they cant open it. I have tons of the black lion chests sitting in my bank that I will never be able to open and that doesnt bother me. Either way I really hope chest is rewarded tonight and not on a patch.

Well, if it was just going to be like the achievement chests then the key would be pointless.

I was under the assumption that everyone on the server would be mailed a chest with a summary of the season “Congrats” or “Try harder next time” etc. And if you got the key, you can open it. If you don’t have the key, it’ll be an incentive perhaps “Stupid locked chest, I’ll get you open next season”

I’m just hoping the reward is good. My wishful side is hoping for a full set of ascended armour considering they’re releasing them on Tuesday. It would make playing WvW a viable way to earn competitive equipment, instead of relying on PvE.

i bet the chest in in our home BL at spawn or in LA near the portals and you can only unlock it with the key

In our Borderlands would be terrible. The queues would be horrendous. I imagine the chest will appear in Lion’s Arch, down at all the WvW portals. That way everyone can go get it right away.

I’m guessing since it is a meta achievement it will pop up like any other living story meta-achievement chest. Inside the pop-up chest will be a Season 1 Reward Chest that you take, then you have to open it with your key.

And if one of the rewards is a chest, then we will have a chest within a chest within a chest.

And hopefully the rewards are Account Bound especially since they’re going to change wvw exp to account bound.

^^ of course they will be account bound – Ascended mats always are ( your not expecting anything decent are you?)

looking at the planed changes for glory I wouldn’t be surprised to see badges go away someday.

Whelp…. you can officially not release the second season.
This was not worth 7 week invasion PvE achivement hunters.

And even they wont ever step foot in WvW seeing as to how they could have farmed this 7 week long time in a few days of champ farming.

All in all, awful.

Just got them. And no it’s nothing special. Not something you expect after 7 weeks of battle.

The chest is trash. You can make more profit in 30 min just playing the game.

Yeah, the chest is pretty much crap. The only items worth mentioning are-

Rest are just greens and some materials.

And here come the complaints. Sensible people have been saying they’d be mediocre at best for weeks. Makes you curious about how things would have played out if the chest contents per placement were announced ahead of time.

Ouch. Those chests really were bad!

I thought we were supposed to all get finishers for First, Second and Third place servers, but only a few got LIMITED USE finishers. Couldn’t even make them permanent to commemorate the first season? Hmm.

Edit: Atm it seems better ranked get more tomes and scrolls and a few more green or blue gear or other crafing stuff. Hopefully not that much more World Exp(weak servers need this to get stronger!) and not more Dolyaks lol.

I really hope that the people who abandoned servers in hopes of greater rewards take a long look at these chests and wonder if it was worth destroying IoJ, DB, or leaving others.

Seems the rewards were more or less the same whatever the spot apart from the finishers the season winners got.

this is disheartening to say the least. i was really hoping for something solid and unique for this reward. If they can make cool unique weapon skins etc for achievement points why not do the same thing for each WvW season and offer some sort of skin? ANYONE can farm all that junk in a very short period of time doing anything else in the game. The only unique thing there is the mini dolyak… whoopdy do. another item for my collection tab

i dind’t expect more, but it’s hard to process that for a-net seven weeks of wvw is less rewarded than a night in orr. it clearly shows what they think of the wvw-players (alas this is also old news)

That’s all I got…. I can’t wait to see the PvP discussion later today where the sPvP crowd will no doubt get the crown’s jewels since WvW is a second rate citizen in this game.

That not too bad its a nice mix of loot with out overdoing it so the ppl who could not get it feel comply left out but its enofe to help out ppl who do wvw only.

It is sad but at the same time it’s what we were expecting from ArenaNet.

It looks like your getting -1 per places from 1st so you get 10 level items in first so only 9 levels for 2ed etc..

That’s the exact same reward as the 1st place reward that I got.
