Not quite sure what the specific issue you’re talking about (unless it’s just communication)… but…
If they did give dates and there were problems delaying it… everyone would kitten themselves. It’s far better for them to just keep working on it.

I think what he means is the insistent lag that have plagued our game since the last patch on July 1st or even a little farther back than that. They give no clear responses and have automated messages saying “please contact ISP and complain to them, also run a useless diagnostics check for kittens and giggles, we’ve been getting these for months and we just like to make you guys think your helping”. Next automated message… “Thank you so much for all your information, we are sending this to the appropriate trash bin to be dumped into and forgotten a day from now”. Why do they do this to us? Being professional is good and all. But it would be nice to have a dev that comes along and actually has a conversation with you… Like “Hey guys, what seems to be the problem?” “Ahhhh I see, well this is probably a fault with our servers, one of the patches messed something up” “Were trying really hard to get this fixed but it might take a few weeks, just hang in their”
Sounding human is a lot better than sounding roboticly professional. Which is why online job applications are kitten.

What sucks is… they have to sound like a robot for good reasons.
The real reasons for some things would make some people angry… or they need to phrase it in a certain way for legal/security reasons… or that they are taking into consideration that they are talking to the general public (parts of whom are kitten nuts) etc.
It may also well be that the people responsible for handling these support issues don’t have the answers and are instructed to reply with a set response… and if they say something wrong it could also wind up costing them their job

For the skill lag issue I don’t think it would take very much to settle a lot of us down, just an acknowledgement they are aware of the change in the issue and are looking into it. I’d be please as punch if that included an announcement of lower WvW map population caps while they did their investigation so we could at least enjoy WvW 75% of the time away from SM. I just want to know I am not going crazy in feeling the skill lag has gotten much worse in the last month or so and there isn’t something deeper wrong that I could do something about on my end.

OP apparently you didnt read that vague pile of trash blog about wvw they released about a month back or so(or whenever it was, I dont really remember because it literally had no value)

Dates will never happen.
But it would be nice given how much attention Stealth has been getting if we’re going to be seeing any adjustments to it. ANet has shown in the past that their changes can be a bit shortsighted with adjustments in one area only to be reverted 4 months (or 1 month…) later.
It would nice to know if for stealth in particular, if they see a problem with it. If they see a problem with the Thief class. If they feel the Thief class is where it needs to be or is it too powerful? Is the Thief actually in need of buffs, but stealth is so powerful they can’t do it.
I mean there have been quite a few hot topics on this forum and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen them comment on them until after the changes have been made, and most of those comments have been halfhearted at best.
Confusion nerf comes to mind.

nah. every time players grief about thief stealth, ANET will buff the class more. it is their favourite class…..

Companies (in any industry) give you vague and meaningless answers to issues when they (in any combination):
- don’t have the knowledge to fix them
- don’t have the financial resources to fix them
- don’t really care whether they fix them or not
- don’t have an effective communication process in place to get accurate information to the customer
- aren’t willing to acknowledge issues as problems
- have made a conscious decision not to fix them without admitting it
Clearly one or more of them are at play here, but does it really matter which one(s)? The net result is pretty much the same.
