When you get killed...
Nope. And the forum search has never worked for me, don’t know about others though.

Nah, you can’t get stolen from haha. That would suck big time. xD
When you get killed in WvW, do the players that killed you get to “steal” from you?
BTW, I did a search, and found no other threads on this. So I either didn’t word it right, or it’s not been asked yet. Thanks
They have recently removed Repair costs too, so WP’s and Deaths are free of charges in WvW… Get out there and be a loot bag until you get good enough to earn their loot bags. No Charge = room for mistakes.
Stealing enemy stuff when killing them, wow, that brings me back to my Lineage 2 days. Yeah, no, you can’t in this game.
The last game i played with that feature was runescape lol. I was always so scared to lose my previous gears >.<
Thanks! Someone had mentioned it in another forum (not the official one), and they weren’t very clear. So I wasn’t sure if they meant the former repair costs or if enemies (they specifically mentioned thieves) could actually steal items or coins.
I hate WvW, but apparently it’s a necessary evil if one is to finish world map completion. I kinda knew that, but having never been to WvW prior to this, I didn’t realize what a PITA it would be.
When you kill another enemy player in WvW, they have a chance to drop loot as with any other enemy. However, this loot is randomly generated and is not taken from the slain player.
For all I know, some lucky Blackgate or Jade Quarry player might have looted a Precursor off my noobish corpse. XD
Yes, he can steal your pride.

The easy way to map WvW is to do it in 3 stages.
Say you’re Green this week. Run around and grab all of the territories normally occupied by Green (and any other nearby lands that Green might currently control). You can get most if not all of Green’s borderlands. Grab territory near your starting point in the other two borderlands. Then grab your corner of the Eternal Battlegrounds (keep an eye out for when your server controls Stonemist and hop into WvW to grab it). Then leave WvW.
It may takes a week or many weeks, but eventually you’ll be another color. Repeat the process with that color’s lands. Then finally repeat it again once you’re the third color.
Ways to speed up mapping include waiting until your server has a large WvW advantage and following a zerg that is running around capturing anything it can get its hands on.
Also, use sites like wvwintel.com to see if your side has captured an enemy objective with a POI or vista that you need. That’s how I got my 100% completion in a single week; I just watched the maps and waited until we flipped things, one by one. Even if the window to get those vistas or POIs is small, you’re probably guaranteed about 15 minutes to get in and grab them, and that’s exactly what I did.
Of course, and this is a whole other story, once I started watching the maps and looking at the tactical side of things, I started to fight with them. I had never played WvW until I was ready to finish my first legendary. I went in for the map completion, and never left.
oh, don’t hate on WvW. It is super fun once you get in and start rolling with it!!! Come play with us!
