Sorry for the bad quality. Streamed with OBS then recorded from my Twitch channel with Camtasia due to not having local on. Left side is cut off due to my failure with placement of boxes to block chat/map.

Can see its a warrior and not a ranger: firing two arrows with LB, arcing arrow, hundred blades/frenzy. Did he just close client or is it something more sinister?

it could be a number of things. map queue popped, crashed, alt f4, a mesmer throwing a veil onto him from above you, or some sort of new hak. since there wasn’t a loot bag, it makes the first 3 less likely. i don’t know of any stealth haks, so that points toward a mesmer veil. there’s a group running past on the bridge after he disappears, so it’s entirely possible for him to have called in some help during the fight. there are also a couple of other people standing around in the water. i wasn’t able to tell what classes they were, so one of them could possibly have been a mesmer.

i’m pretty sure it wasn’t a thief’s stealth though, since those tend to come with pretty obvious visuals, and those weren’t present.

hmm or maybe and alt f4 by accident(done that a few times as my ts button is on alt and if i shatter with f4 it happenes sometimes. also client crash, connection loss or like already mentioned queue pop….so i dont think that was a hack

Could be rune set. Technically runes allow any profession to do things like stealth or mist form.

yeah, that’s a good call. i forgot about the one that procs stealth when their HP is below a certain point. the warrior in the video’s HP was getting pretty low, so that could very well be the case.

yeah maybe should try this, just got a new gaming mouse…ugh getting used to all the new keybindings is a pain XD

He could have logged out or someone used some sort of stealth skill on him? (Like a thief using shadow refuge)

It’s the rune set.

This is not from F4 or Map popped. If that were the case the player would have stood there for around 2sec doing nothing before disappearing. He is clearly using using a hack.

I have Warriors and Guardians this this a lot (the ones using cheats) and then re-appear elsewhere behind me. No, they were not a Norn, either.

months after months anet will keep buffing warriors to get:
stealth
clones
pets
and life force

Wasn’t a rune effect, his health wasn’t low enough. My guess is X-log. Anet made it so that if someone alt f4’s during a hotjoin match / WvW, the other player, if they did enough damage, would get glory pts / loot bag. However, I’m pretty sure they didn’t fix it all the way correctly. You are still able to exit the game (via x-logging, I think) and not give the person attacking you any benefit.

There may be a different way of exiting the client, but that’s what I think he did there. He isn’t “clearly using a hack.”
