welcome back! thieves are in stealth(i think they are doing an undercover thing and dont want to be found,shhhh…they will only come out for 3 minutes total a day, so make sure u have a camera ready) and mesmers…oh well we got nerfed pretty hard….confusion got completely destroyed by anet, then they nerfed retal, and phantasm builds…but hey we got a 1v1 torent skill on our scepter 2 …yaaaaaaaaay……
necros, warriors and guardians are the new meta. the stun lock, permafear, insta condition kill u and well they pretty much stomp u in the ground…
but there is the newest class the omega golem class they have the slowest mobility in the game, but i am sure in 2 months when anet gives us a new epic huuuuuge wvw update, we will get golem mastery that gives them perma swiftness.

yes i still play mine and always will. it has gotten way harder to survive lately, but i wont give up my mesmer and maybe we will get a buff that gives us a new build diversity.if u check the mesmer forums u will find the builds that are still viable.

Everyone quit their Thief
Aside from the realization that zerging is more profitable than roaming, people left mesmer because confusion, which was king, was nerfed down to orr farming. Retaliation took its place, even after a nerf. The guardian and warrior charges with stunlocks are insanely powerful and the survivability gets wayy higher. I go with a warrior romping around swinging my hammer and enjoying having a path melft in front of me. Guardians with all the team boons are the new way to play, and necro for the condi spam that has spvp locked up as the meta. Conditions are the best way to counter a guard warr bunker. Then you always have the 3-4 mesmers for time warp and port. Basically golem runners. Thief has no place in the zerg IMO. Then the eles for the combo fields. and then the tag along ranger and engineers that are along for the ride.
Thieves: gank the stragglers, emergency stealth exit for your group
Mesmers: portal/timewarp/null field/make your 5 man into a zerg
Ranger: pew pew pew from a distance, then get your friendly thief to gank the people that try to kill the rangers
Guardian: meatshield/boon factory/zerg stopper (ring of warding and the staff walls)
Engineer: OP AOE grenades
Necro: OP condis and boon corrupts
Warrior: OP stunlocks
Elementalist: combo fields, tanking and ganking near tower/keep doors (mist form on downed)
Every class has a role in wvw A good group balances it out to get the optimum combo. That said, having more guardians and warriors in your group wont hurt at all simply because those classes have the best ccs and are good at tanking, which is what you really need when you go against another group larger than you are.
Thieves tend to come out in the quiet hours.less people on,when there are many more roamers about to backstab from what I have noticed.
