Where's the MAP?!

I second the motion. It’d to be able to nice to go where I’m needed.

this threads needs to go to suggestions.
www.graystatemovie.com its coming if you like it or not.
I’d like to figure out a way to do this at some point. It’s not a very high priority right now though.
One way to start would be to view the map from within the Heart of the Mists. You can see all the maps from that location, you just can’t see who owns what.
Easy way to implement it: from scoreboard screen make a ‘view map’ button you press to view it. Alternatively, make it another ‘level’ in the world map, when you click to view the lowest level, it shows WvW map.
Thank you for the response. Would be a great feature after you guys get the bugs and what-not worked out.

be nice if it was a higher priority. I too have wondered while queing where it is I am most needed.

I’m not sure why it’s not a higher priority then, it would help even out populations across the maps, as people could see where they are needed most and queue accordingly.

It’s not as simple as just showing the map. I’m sure the WvWvW are different servers than your home servers. There’s probably a problem of soliciting this information from the WvWvW servers back to your home server and then to you. Then realize everyone on your server could request this information at the same time.
@blazesquall
You mean, like the small chart of # of keeps, camps, etc. on the score board?

A player needs to be able to see a real-time status map of the W-v-W conflict. In DAoC, back in the day you could do this, it’s just as needed in GW2.
@Sky,
Caching which keeps/towers/camps are taken is pretty easy (and obviously already implemented). I assumed OP wants a map that shows the current state as if you were in the match, with battle markers, orb location, etc.
Really, it’s the same information + knowing which one it is.

C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!
Seriously dude, you just hit the nail on the head with this one. That even made me think twice. I totally agree though.
They could also try to add the possibility of queuing on all the maps and just enter the first that is available. If someone just wants to ply some WvW in an evening, no matter where, they should have the possibility to just enter the first map available.
Alternatively, the possibility to queue on all Borderlands at once. EB is probably the busiest anyway and with the longest queue time of all 4 maps.
You should be able to see the map from a website.
There are a hundred more bugs that need to be worked out WAY before anything like this ever gets implemented. The game still needs to be fixed people! Especially WvW.
