I have hunter lvl 70 and emsmer lvl 15 I have only tried hunter in WvW and i have lvled in WvW since lvl 45 , the thing is i heard rangers got nerfed in terms of condition damage which was their main damage dealing form and so they got nerfed hard and not to mention that they aren’t that great for WvW to start with due to bad pet AI

So I wanted to ask you guys which class would you recommend me to try? I like a class that is good to 1 v 1 and good in WvW (zergs) utility and damage (damage preferably)

if you like hunters then you might also like warlocks they also have pets which can tank for you and they are easily to level

thing is pets aren’t reliable in WvW neither is hunters damage great. hes basically a worse version of a guardian in WvW all I can do is tank

Warrior got the damage, utility and good in zergs.

any other class?

Guardian is another good pick.

Heavy classes rule the game.

For WvW I second guardian. Good luck trying to stay alive in the current meta without a ton of healing.

Play what you like. If you master a class, and if you love it, it will go strong. As such ranger, you shouldn’t be in front of the zerg, but in the mid or backlines sniping enemies with low healths or staff elementalists/necros to death.

If you’re willing to build a new character, guardians are great. They’re the backbone of a zerg – tough, can heal, cleanses conditions, pretty much good in pve/fotm/wvw.
