Bandwagoners should go stack on Blackgate. Then they get to enjoy their 235135 person queues while JQ and TC tag team them. Meanwhile the rest of us get to have fun playing the WvW tournament.

Stack anywhere but on Gunnars Hold so you dont create massive queues for the loyal roamers/guilds on it. Kthxbai!

And no, GH don’t have queues right now and it would take a MASSIVE influx for them to have sizeable queues on more than one map outside of reset nights.

And now DR is taking it to SBI. I can’t tell if its just DR NA people playing overtime or if they have got some depth. The work week will tell the tale.

No one knows the exact details yet. Secondly, season 3 “Tourney” is only 4 weeks long. Thirdly, whichever server you choose, you are guaranteed a mistforged weapon.

Note: If season 3 is a success, expect season 4 to come much sooner.

It would be fun to have 1month of seasons…… 2 months of “My gun is bigger than yours normal wvw” and then seasons again. This may very well inject fun into the buildup of seasons and after.

T3 is well balanced and doesn’t want what you are selling; and Maguuma is fading.

The top 5 are the stable servers that will still be the top 5 in 3 months. No matter what happens to them, none of them are likely to disappear anytime soon.

You go to any other than those 5 in the top 12, then you are rolling the dice but God bless you all the same.

Although they can never win a fight with or without siege and even outnumbering the opponents, they still have coverage similar to that of t2. They should move up a couple tiers for season

And their NA is no joke – they have a few good sized talented guilds. Been some good fights so far. And some darn tricky cata spots!

But they will still get destroyed by FA and SoS.

So best thing would be for Mag to stay in Gold and just be the whipping boy there. And let the 5 relatively even servers in T3/T4 battle it out for Silver – YB, DB, DR, SBI, CD.

Mag does not have the population for gold…let alone silver. Seeing a mag player is very rare now.

I understood the season announcement as

NA has 2 league’s with 12 server each. (And EU 3 times 9)

Aa 4 rounds with 6 server are guaranteed repetitions and they said they tried to reduce repetitions, and the ranking table also say place 9-12.

Which makes silver (13-24) quite unreachable for Mag within 3 weeks.

I thought that might be the case originally but I think the 12th place was probably for the Chinese servers not NA.

The sos blobs don’t even do anything but hide in their keeps and smc.

Eh…DR had trouble with IoJ because they got 2v1’d practically every night by the door bangers after Yak’s Bend papered everything using golems.

I also find this kinda funny coming from the guy who’s been the chief apologist for a server that has literally been carried for two years now by a forever loyal OCX PvD crew. SoS’s unwillingness to compete for T1 (in the past, now it’s lol glicko) or de-stack so T2 is somewhat competitive has been acting as a bottleneck the ladder, and it’s only worse now that Mag has finally thrown in the towel.

I gotta agree. The ticket difference between a server which wins every match up and the one which loses them all is just 50%. 1000+ gems buys pretty kitten nice weapon (and armor) skins, for no extra effort.

I think real reasons to transfer would not be the tournament, but maybe some players don’t enjoy WvWvW on their server. But grass is not always greener on the other side and the past shows that super stacked servers can also crash and burn. People should study and think before moving.

It makes me kind of sad that Anet would let a thread that encourages behavior that clearly goes against the spirit of fair play survive for this long on their official forums.

I get the fact that they’re a for-profit company, so I can’t really fault them much for not trying to stop or discourage players against this kind of thing as they make gem sales off transfers. Although it is a bit disheartening to see that they truly don’t care about at least trying to balance match-ups, but would rather turn people’s desire for an easy win into a profit. I get it though. Bottom line.

And I know they moderate these forums, I’ve seen a thread where the topic drifted to discussion of another MMO for 3-4 posts and got closed really fast.

Totally agree. You are paying a possible skin for like 250g… You can buy an uncommon skin for that amount of gold. WvW skins aren’t uncommon. Everyone can get it after this tournament, and some ppl already has 2.

Transferring for many players is about far more than tickets. Getting stuck in a tier against a behemoth for weeks on end sucks. Granted Season 3 is short but in Season 2, I would not want to be on the receiving end of HoD hordes.

If you transfer to get out of low tier is the best inversion you can do. But if you transfer for stack and win the tournament no. HoD (well, had free transfer) played the season 2 with the coverage of T1 server, after the season ends everyone leaves.

If you transfer you should aim to your next home, a stable server. Not the FOTM one.

stacking is a fools game. At-least in T1 NA which ever server gets stacked usually loses because they are filled with PVE heros and bandwagoners that don’t actually help to win, and the WvWers that carry the load cant get in. S1 JQ was stacked and lost, S2 BG was stacked and lost. U should try actually helping your server to win, stacking and mindlessly zerging doesn’t actually work, atleast not in NA T1.

BG is stacking again for S3, so if u are trying to stack please by all means join them, It would really help us out a lot of you could get more rally bots on BG.
