for few weeks Anet was telling you that moving to T1 is not good idea.
They also made some free transfers so you can move from overpopulated servers.
Nobody cared about it that time.

And it is not Anet fault. I dont see people from Bronze league whining about queues. Rarely i see people from silver league. And there are servers you moved from.
There was queue before start of the leagues. You count count with queues after start of the league, but you still moved there or stayed there. It is not Anet fault.

I agree, it is not anets fault that all these people decided to transfer to t1, even after they said it wasnt a good idea, the qq is fun to read though.

And what about the lower mid tier servers? Are they of the smae kind? The queues go down to the lowest silver league servers. No idea about bronce league. It’s not all T1 who have queues. Your “argument” is not valid friend. To say queues are the player’s fault, even if arround 70% of the servers have this queue problem. There are those, who transferred to high tier server to get awarded, but that’s not all. And the players who have their home on this servers should now change to the lowest tier servers, because of all the greedy “I wanna go to top tier to get best reward”-players? Is that rly what u’re saying?

Granted I am on FA, but we have queues every day now, which is not the norm according to people who have been on the server. Every map is now queued in primetime for at least 15 minutes for people in my guild. I know it doesn’t seem like much but it does impact how my guild organizes and moves out across the maps. Its not crippling per se, but it does effect our playing.

So I’m on a Tier 1 server, I deserve what I get? That’s the way you behave while expecting others to have sympathy for your supposed plight of getting facerolled each time your 4 man guild steps out of spawn?

Now ANET can add “Express Queue Card” in TP, 5 times for 400 gems that guarantee less than 1 min queue.

Depending on how desperate some folks get about having their WvW addiction fed or how enthusiastic PvE’ers are about getting those achievements, they might make a killing in the BLTP selling that.

Don’t take that seriously:
Why not introduce an arena, before you can join WvW, where you 1v1 or even 5v5 against other qeuing players. The winner can enter WvW. -TROLL-

@Carize.8532 you really think that good fights depends on queues? We have queue only at prime time and on our borderland and we still have pretty good fights on other borderlands too. We just have also a space to regroup not whole map filed with red names. We can choose our target as attackers and this gameplay is more STRATEGIC . We can split into 3 smaller groups and still have loads of fun. Yes during night time there is less action,but it does not meant there is none. You just need to use waypoint for max 2 times to find fights. Also roamers dream, that is bronze league.

There are 27 servers in EU and 24 in NA. Big number of guilds transfered right before league started. And there were free transfers to some servers, but you paid gems to move to high or very high server. And now you whine. People you just need to take responsibility of your actions and dont throw this on Anet.

Lies. I looked and no server had free transfers. It was just another PR sham.

I had 3 servers to chose from without queues yesterday and I probably will have again tonight. Im in a Tier 1 server. Tell me more about these players whining about queues.

I have no idea. But according to their upgrades, they must have been arround for some time, I guess. I am new to this guild and assumed they were arround on FSP for some time now. And I came from Bronze League. I came from FoW. And I ahd no idea of the “flow”. FSP was ranked low in mid tier server list, so I assumed there wouldn’t be much stacking there. However, I was asked by friend of my guild (with 6 active players) to move there. And all 6 moved. You have absolutely no idea, who you are talking to, when assuming I just want to get rewards.

If I was after rewards, I would have moved to a higher ranked bronze league server. But then I would have to fight my old server. I did not want to do that, because I still feel sympathy for FoW. So I figured moving to a low ranked silver league server wouldn’t be that bad of an idea. I wanted WvW action, not seeking PvE rewards.

Queue? What queue you guys talking about? We have no queue in kaineng. Now I shall laugh at those people who abandon us and went to higher tier server.

As stated above, there seems to be a big difference between NA and EU. While Queues seem to mostly effect T1 servers in NA, it seems to be more wide spread from high to mid tier servers in EU.

shrug i’d rather deal with queues than be on an unorganized wvw server again. The PVers will move on to the next living story or whatever new event anet comes up with next. I’m patient.

The supposed ‘free transfers’ were to Medium population servers. Of course, NA doesn’t have any of those. EU doesn’t have many either. They all range from Medium to mostly High/Very High/Full servers. But this person feels the need to cross post on multiple threads about how “T1 brought this on themselves” and “no one transferred to MY server to help ME”. /whine

One thing that is becoming abundantly clear is: regardless of WvW turn out, that Ring of Fire server has enough population that if the players wanted to WvW they would. Seeing this person as their ambassador from WvW, however, explains why so many of them DON’T WANT TO.

I sure don’t pity you. On SBI, we had a queue on all of our borderlands tonight, for awhile. Oh well, you learn to live with it. But, it wasn’t a really long one, and didn’t impact us as much. We ended up getting Beast and Abyss on FA BL during that time.

I don’t know which BL Core went to, for FA. But we can understand how you guys feel. Been good fighting you guys this week.

First I would like if you stop called me “this person” or “guy from RoF”. You know you can see my nickname on the left side?

Second, dear Carize, I am no ambassador from RoF. I am just a player who reads on forum before start of the league that everybody is moving to higher tiers. So many recruitement threads for higher tiers. And now only whining about queues on those higher ranks.

Third, I never said something like “no one transferred to MY server to help ME”. /whine, and i never would because I dont need to write that.

Four, there were 6 medium populated servers in EU. Its almost one single league of free transfers.

All I did was proposal for stop whining about queues. Almost every topic before league was about transfering. Not almost every topic is whining about queues.

They lowered cost to move to SFR and so, what they should have done is double the cost to move the servers with queue or simple not allowed at all.

I’d just like to say, the majority of us in the T1 servers aren’t fresh off the boat transfers, and we care about our communities- I would go on to say that it is our loyalty to the server that brings out the recruitment. T1 servers have been recruiting from lower tires for a long time. My guild got recruited from ET to JQ. ET didn’t give a flip about us, we were just another player, just another guild to them. When we came to JQ five months ago-(long before leagues were even hinted at) we were greeted with open arms, friendly remarks and the most helpful of information you’d be surprised to find from a hard core PVP server.

Most of these queues are triggered as a result of these added achievements. Oh JQ also happened to be one of the highest PVE servers too, go figure. So while, maybe 10% of the new bodies in the queue are transfers the other are those who haven’t WvWd before, or just want achievements.

I’m not complaining, its better for us to get new bodies to the server from the server, it costs us less time and money, (Yes sometimes we help people get over) to train internally then to recruit a 50 man guild from a random server.

Do the queues suck? Yes. But the queue doesn’t sniff at the number of your tier, queues suck whenever you get them wherever you get them. We can QQ, or QQ about the QQ all we like- but it’s still there. We are all better off finding things to do when in queue, then complaining about it, or complaining about complainers.

So how do you address SoR, BG, and JQ players who’ve been with their respective servers (i.e. never transferred) since day one?

I agree with the thread; being in a high populated server comes hand in hand with high queues. But you can’t blame people for not transferring. Guilds cannot transfer, and if the full guild did, all their rep, upgrades etc stay on that world, that’s a lot to sacrifice just for smaller queues. But I agree, don’t complain about queues, there are plenty of other things to do while you wait, and usually high queues can mean your server ain’t too shabby at WvW :P.

I do remember them saying that. I stuck around on my original server (AG, Silver League) and while the queues are dreadful compared to what I am used to; they aren’t the end of the world. I just join the Queensdale champ train while I wait and make some easy gold.

Totally misses the point, which is that the regular wvw players want to wvw, not go chasing after some mindless champ train or running around a ‘maze’ then spending ten minutes killing some random candy cane boss by spamming auto attacks.

Maybe they should force pve’rs to queue for the same amount of time before they get to enter whatever pve map they want to enter- say 3 or 4 hours, and in the meantime they are loaded onto a map where there are two platforms that can hold 100 players each, and where an area will randomly disappear every now and then- and if you fall off, your back to the end of the queue. Maybe then pve’rs will get just how frustrating it is for those that normally wvw to be stuck waiting in limbo.

And ‘other things to do’ surely excludes any activity that requires a squad and an instance, as you might at any time finally get in to wvw, and imagine saying ‘sorry guys BL finally came up sorry gtg’ and you leave them hanging half way through the final boss, or miss the BL call and consign yourself to not getting to play what you wanted to AT ALL that day.

I understand where you’re coming from. But from my point of view, I don’t like separating people in categories like ’PvE’rs’ or ’WvW’rs’. Yes, It’s a fact that some people WvW more than others, and yes, PvE’s usually stay clear of WvW. But that doesn’t mean you can get mad at the Queues because PvE’rs want to try something that’s made available to them. That would be like PvE’rs getting annoyed if PvP’ers enter main Tequatl or something. Everyone’s entitled to do what they want, weather you’re a regular or completely new to the activity. The queues are annoying. but there’s not much you can do about it, so you could try sPvP if you’re a PVP only type of person, or other PvE’s stuff that excludes mindless trains or maze’s. GW2 is packed full of stuff. And if you really only want WvW and avoid queues, you will have to wait it out or transfer.

Arrogant? No not arrogant. Just angry.
Week ago this was full forums was full of transfer talk and recruitment.
Even if you are on server with queues from day 1, that dont approve you to blame Anet for queues. Blame players not Anet.
WvW have some limits and everybody know it. Even those guys who play from day 1.
But there was a panic that only top tiered servers will get WvW achivements and rewards, so massive recruitement topics were opened. People started to move to high population servers, even that other players with “common sense” warned them from queues. Event Anet spend a word about queues.

You can blame Anet for maps with limit, but not for queues that are for the last few days.

‘wait it out or transfer’..you missed the option people are taking, which is ‘stuff the queue, skill lags etc I’ll find some other game to play’. Transferring isn’t an option- why should I be forced to leave my guild and/or server just because a bunch of achievement hunters are ruining wvw for the regulars?

Wonder what things will look like when the dust settles and the achievement hunters move on to the next carrot dangled in front of their noses.

Don’t transfer then, wait it out. Or wait for Edge of the Mists.

Tonight there are no queues for blackgate (a T1 server). The only people that will be complaining are those that are new to WvW. Those that aren’t know there are always queues on reset that don’t ease up till Sundayish. What Anet said was an empty threat from my experience. Unless the only time you happen to play is the same time as reset, it shouldn’t be an issue for you.

Hule, it’s like you’re determined to say the queues are from what you like to call “stacking”. One has nothing to do with the other. Queues were horrendous because of the LS WvW update.

And yeah that I can blame on Anet’s kitten poor planning for season schedule.

I have great sympathy for SoS 2 hr queue, I myself got in promptly on Fri after reset but wasn’t able to stay in the game more than 40 mins (queued the whole time, but no gettin in to WvW) before I DC’d, relog, DC again 10 mins later, and lagged like heck even when I was in PvE.

So with long queues, and disconnecting even if I wasn’t in WvW, it wasn’t worth it for me to play much this weekend. That’s a shame because I wanted to support my team on this Inaugural Season….but oh well, maybe next week I’ll be able to have fun with SoS & Mag.

That is not true. How it is that “lower tier” servers dont have queues orat least not so big.
In bronze league i think only DL have queues and mostly on prime time, from what i heard.
And those are servers with high PvE population and low WvW population.
How is this possible?
I know that higher tiers, and I mean like 13 and 15 in Eu had queues even few months ago, but still were recruiting people to play there.

In past months there were several topics about queues, sorry but in the light of this I dont get how achivements were able to do that. I think that every reset and every weekend there will be queues on servers even if there will be no achivements in wvw, just like few months ago.
Now it is only worse because many people transfered before start of the League.

I bet this is why anet is pushing out the overflow wvw map. The QQ will reach deafening levels if they don’t give people a way to get achievements on stacked servers.

Maybe not thoughtful effort phedre but you make them sound easy. Really wvw achieves are a time grind and I think anet balanced it pretty well. It’s hard enough to not be easy but not so hard that guys like me without all the free time still have a shot at doing them.

I don’t have all the free time either. I work 60+ hours a week. Mine were earned this weekend while I even was getting ready for the audit at my work. It was that easy.

If the players who are in WvW would play for their servers, I think most people wondn’t complain so much. But when you’re stucked in queues and then you see something like this:

I think he would say, that you brought this on yourself, by recruiting guilds to your server. That is what he is trying to say. It isn’t just about the people who transferred, but the people who were there since day 1 as well.

And what about the lower mid tier servers? Are they of the smae kind? The queues go down to the lowest silver league servers. No idea about bronce league. It’s not all T1 who have queues. Your “argument” is not valid friend. To say queues are the player’s fault, even if arround 70% of the servers have this queue problem. There are those, who transferred to high tier server to get awarded, but that’s not all. And the players who have their home on this servers should now change to the lowest tier servers, because of all the greedy “I wanna go to top tier to get best reward”-players? Is that rly what u’re saying?

That’s just odd because T2 (except TC maybe) doesn’t have queues on all maps. Maguuma seems to have 2 queues at NA prime and Mag is #4 in terms of NA strength… maybe by quality not quantity then.

Or maybe it’s based on high PvE population as much as WvW tier? Either way it’s worst by far on T1 and you can transfer down (or up?) to avoid the problem.

Europe’s silver league has long queues during prime time. Hear my cry!

There was little to no guild stacking in gold league but rather an exodus of a number of prominent guilds to silver league. They didn’t stack on one server but spread out.

A couple of guilds recently went to bronze league. The problem with this is that above a certain size there simply aren’t enough enemies to kill.
