White swords = A new placeable trap?
It would be kind of neat if the white swords was made into a placeable trap, triggered when a enemy moves over it. An alarm trap that defenders can plant in cata spots and similar places.
Already exist in EotM, needs just be ported to wvw
One charge keep upgrade (supplies taken from keep), that fires off orange swords if a gate/wall drops to 75% or so.
EOTM should deleted/removed from game, its not healthy to the game, it brings more noobification to the game.
Wait, what? That’s where you went with this conversation, that EotM should be entirely removed? While I vehemently disagree with you in that regard, Aeolus, that isn’t exactly the point of this thread.
Personally I think the idea of some kind of “alarm” trap would not be such a bad idea, but I doubt it would be a serious game changer – it’d be practically impossible to tell if a yak/single player/zerg walked over it. Still, potentially interesting idea.
It would essentially augment the role that good scouting parties do now – I’d be okay with this.

I know i went a little bit to the extreme, but my opinion about EOTM stays.
im still choked with the no white sword as a possible update and this would event turn out to be more confusing, becouse low WvW servers dont have eneught players to drop traps and when one leave the map trap gets removed, and as we all know there are already some keeps/tower that can be taken on legal and doubtful ways since they are here since beta like cata cliff’s near the wall or under the wall etc.
The game is not prepared to this changes.
I’d rather they concentate on addressing the fundamental problems plaguing WvW than bother with implementing new gimmicky traps.
