How is vabi?
I miss this server. This is where I first started.
Maybe we could have thought in joining RoS before it became blacktidxaoceveryotheronboard of Surmia :p
Anyhow, most people in FoW is enjoing new balance, and even if we are slighlty outnumbered during the 24hrs circle, i think we are actually going toward the best WvW experience this game has to offer
No queue – No Lag – Not much of huge zerg vs huge zerg situation.
Let’s just hope it will last ^^
PS RoS could you stop sending your people among us in order to recruit some more for your campaign? Do you want to recruit? Go upper server where “more” people is unhappy of their situation, do not come in here hoping for reinforcement, FoW players are good where they are, but do not trust my words, just go ahead and you ll see how many FoW people would be happy to join RoS instead ^^

At times this matchup has all the hallmarks of the one we were just subjected to in tier 8 last week. Time depending WSR can dominate with near +600, which I don’t like much :/ We’ve had plenty of good fights within the peak FoW hours and the times when Vabbis guilds have a good push (especially when they both push at the same time).
I’ve seen faces this week I haven’t seen for 3weeks (commanders included in that, have they been afk in LA for a month?), lot of PvE people playing WvW this week -_- that’s telling when you look at a map and find upgraded towers/keeps being flipped without any defence, and when you ask about defence you get the “we let them have it because we can just flip it back once they’ve gone”. Say goodbye to your gold upgraders I swear some people don’t even know what siege is, or what it actually does, let alone know when/where to place it when under attack

It has to be said that the WvW scene no our server has evolved a lot.. I remember that in the beginning of my GW2 career I would be wandering around in our homelands encountering more enemies than friendlies.. Nowadays you can actually see lots of planning and upgrading, so we’ve come a long way (but of course there is still a long way to go yet).
War story to illustrate: Tuesday 40 WSR were hitting on Dreaming Bastion and 20 FoW kept them off (they even breached the gate but were pushed back by us).
Also the amount of GOOD commanders has increased. Indeed, good, since there are still others: People that wear the commander tag should be acting like one. I will not mention names, but there is a commander who find pleasure in flaming all for “stupid noobs” instead of giving proper advice (knowing that not all are all-knowing like he (thinks he) is).
(I myself rarely wear my commander, since I like to raid camps solo. However, when the time is nigh, the tag will come on and we can get to some serious WvW.. )
So, to sum it all up: Fissure should never merge with another world.. Those otherworldly invaders should beg us to join our ranks.. ;-)

I think that’s pretty much the intention Not quite in those words, but being in the position to ping pong between t8 and 9 all the time, we’ve seen the gulfs between the two tiers, and even though WSR can at times dominate the map in t9, it’s at times barely able to defend its borders in t8 FoW has been very accomplished this past week, certainly worked well together in defence of your own borders, and providing some effective poke on WSR’s, but the end of the day even we can’t secure a place in t8, let alone FoW

I can wholeheartedly and compassionately sympathise with your commander comments though sometimes its best to hide rather than follow some of them, probably the case on any server

another story to illustrate: we had about 20, wsr had 50. i did the natural thing, i used a quaggan tonic, ran into the zerg, and ended the tonic form, and used 100b followed by whirlwind. they scattered making it easier to pick them off one by one, while i cleared the target and used rush to escape. next i used bulls charge to knock the person on the cata, then we took 7-20, and we won, had lots of lulz and fun, and got a few badges. also, if any1 on fow wants to join wvw, friend Red Death Of You, ill teach you what you need to know, and i typically teach by showing you how to kill ppl with siege once we get to the siege uses lesson, and all my pupils have had fun the most on that stage. i teach by taking towers and supply camps, and then showing you defense. friend red death of you and speak to me in game, if i can at the time i will teach you!

The difference between tiers is apparently very big.. However, just figured out that if Anet would merge according to a fold-up principle, we would have a very interesting WvW scene in all tiers.
Advantage: The “lesser” WvW players would learn a lot from the “better” ones, while the “better” ones will feel so satisfied knowing they can share their knowledge with the “lesser”..
Disadvantage: The two who merge in the middle are equally ranked, so there can be no knowledge transfer there I’m afraid..
A wild idea, but in my opinion certainly something ANet should think about..
(Fold-up: First one merges with last one, second with second last, …. Like this the rating/server would be more or less the same on all.)
note: If they should merge, I so wanna keep the name “Fissure of Woe”. Patriot by heart! ;-)
