So who do you think will get paired up for the next couple of months?

SoS will have SBI and maguuma or SBI and FA until the servers relink.

This was posted last week on reddit, obviously just speculation and should be treated as such.
Nothing has been mentioned by the devs.

Even if that list was accurate as of last week, there is nothing to stop devs from changing it at the last minute to deal with stacking. I.e if you are shopping for a specific pairing, transferring right now seems fairly risky.

So i heared tomorrow servers will be unlinked and attached to new ones. Im from Deso so im wondering if we are gona get a new server attached to us or not? Overall since we hog the top spot then i assume we shouldnt get any of the servers linked to us? Or am i wrong?

From what I hear, YB doesn’t integrate with their pairing partner, so that would be interesting if they got DR. However, why would they? If it’s done based on numbers, I mean? The devs can obviously tell who plays when, based on their comments in the “poll” thread, so maybe they will actually do what a lot of people have been asking and pair the servers more based on play times – who knows?

There is no reason some of those servers should be paired at all, in addition, some of those servers are so low populated they should be paired 3 ways. I hope you are right and they change it, but actually because they put more thought into it and try to make balanced matchups, Sadly those pairings listed do not do that at all and change nothing.

We will find out when it happens.

ANet (rightfully) don’t want to tell before hand to avoid more stupid band-wagoning. There will still be some though.

Really curious how they’re going to solve it this time.

There has been a lot of population shifts (as usual), and they might skip all or some of the T1 servers, and link up more smaller servers in other cases. But who knows, since we haven’t been told a thing yet

Most likely I won’t be able to check this until Monday evening anyways, as I’ll be away all weekend, but if I get curious enough I might grab a PC with internet for a few minutes and look it up. (I’ll be busy beating people up with Miniature Wargames instead!)

I have a feeling that the only ones that might change will be T3 and T4….maybe one or 2 in T2.

The game is coming up on 4years old and yet people still need to ask 24hrs in advance what is going to happen. You will find out in 24hrs.

I’m hoping they emulate what they did in EU. Seemed to work well

According to that list Ehmry Bay would change from ‘forgotten’ to ‘host’ server. No other ‘forgotten’ servers are awesome enough to come back from the dead?

We’ve invested a lot of time and effort into making SoR hate us and now this!

If this linking happens it would be a match made in heaven. DR loves to Ktrain, back cap and farm WXP. It will just depend on the time zone population.

I hope when relinking happens I can get all my guild to HOD, it sucks that the day it went open I only got myself and 2 others over

I want to know who thought it was a good idea to link FC and DH. Seriously? FC is the only medium server who didn’t get tied to a full server. You’ve got full servers tied to very high servers IN OUR TIER. Let’s hope the next time around they bother to look at thier list more than once before they Nuke a server.

Keep in mind that there are servers that are marked high and very high right now, that were on medium status before the links happened, plus the new calculation they’re using to determine population status with the linked server.

Ehmry bay was medium and has lost guilds but is on very high right now, and by that speculation post higher than darkhaven now to take it’s place as host. Maybe things didn’t work as well for DH/FC and players have moved or left.

I think that if there is an issue with supply of people on a server then those servers should be consolidated until we have full servers again, then if we need more you can open them as we need them. IMHO

Of course it’s random.

The thing is, parasite servers can fight all they want, they will still be in a random tier every other month. If the primary server gain a tier or loose tier, it doesnt matter at all. The parasite server still get’s relinked.

Basicly, if you’re not on a primary server… go transfer to one now. Or wait 2 months for the next round.

re-links are every 2 months not 3. we voted on this and anet did #anetthings and averaged the responses without us knowing they would do that.

And DB got your former pair, while YB had your new pair, I guess anything linked to JQ is the lowest tier server.
