The only positive outcome of all the T1 drama would be for all 3 servers to implode. Now that would be something I would love to see, and it would help the other 21 servers be competitive (some more than others).

You aren’t reading the forums enough, I see just as many Jade Coast posts antagonizing the BG forum trolls. If everyone would just stop trying to troll one another, maybe there could actually be a “fair” tournament.

Instead we get BG chest thumping posts which lead the Tarnished Quarry posters to antagonize BG with the kittened #BGTears posts, which just starts the whole two part cycle over again.

Unfortunately this is never going to stop due to the anonymity of the internet, but one can hope. I just hope JQ/TC win this tournament and get over this grudge they have against BG so we can actually have a fair match up next tournament, instead of trading wins with each other.

People need to stop talking about a fair tournament, there will never be a fair tournament in GW2 unless WvW experiences drastic changes. All the BG crybabies are experiencing something people on the bottom tier servers experience all the time without even being 2v1’d, the difference being those servers didn’t bring it on themselves like BG did.

There was never “honor” in WvW. How can drastically outnumbering your opponents and PvDooring their structures overnight be considered “honorable”? That’s what determines 90% of WvW outcomes.

This is why people dislike BG and to a lesser extent T1 in general. You act like T1 is the end all be all of WvW, but based on these forums I would say its more of a cesspool. WvW will be just fine if any of the servers on T1 implode, in fact I would say its better off. As much as I hate leagues if it causes any of the T1 servers to SoR it I will think of the season as a success.

you mistook my message, I was saying that there is no activity in tier 1 not because tier 1 is the best but because it is the most active, and due to arenanets lack of balancing or interviening nobody is playing now on the most populated servers

If JQ and TC don’t want to mess with their scorings, it’s just not take the objectives (thus not affecting the ppt) and do some open field battles for fun.

And blackgate have two endless hordes of people that want them dead to fight against… So they have quite a bunch of people to fight too.

And about being outmanned on Eternal Battleground… Friend, my server have outmanned buff on Eternal battleground (and in at least one other map) 24/7 in non-league weeks… Don’t come crying to me about that because you don’t know how bad it can get.

I think that player may just be believing some of the crap the trolls are spewing.

Every server has their own chest thumpers, and start these QQ threads. JQ won this season so congrats to them. Last week JQ was QQing about the 2v1, this week it’s BG, etc, etc…

Currently they are trading wins, more or less like trading kills, maybe even worse. But that is how the system currently works. Surprised that it’s still a solid alliance so congrats on keeping it so. Time to wait for season 3 and see what if anything changes.

People were upset long before the season even started. None of this is new. 2v1’s aren’t even new. The scale and precision in which JQ/TC are able to pull it off with their communication is possibly the only new thing here.

Of course we haven’t conspired with other servers. Why the hell would anybody think otherwise? Organizing a 2v1 seems like a time consuming, pathetic practice. We have far more confidence in our players than the guild leaders that decided their members are roughly 1/2 a BG player. Hell, BG has more confidence in TC and SoR players than that. There are some good guilds and commanders there. I imagine those people didn’t want to get involved.

Seriously, it is at the very least impressive that anybody was able to sell this idea to this many people.

It’s tier 1 servers that (first) started buying groups of people from “lesser” servers, leaving broken communities and chronically unbalanced tiers and matchups.

While this wasn’t against the rules, it left other servers experiencing exactly what Blackgate is experiencing right now – being completely outmanned all the time.

In your previous post, where you said “guess I’ll go play another game”? THAT’S what people remaining on stripped servers have done too, further affecting those left behind who still want to play.

The main difference, of course, is that they didn’t do anything to get themselves into that situation. Blackgate has.

And before you say “Well, other servers do it too – both Jade Quarry and Tarnished Coast do it!” you’re absolutely right, they do. And they suck just as much as Blackgate does for doing it.

But Blackgate has been sitting at #1 for a long time, and despite having the luxury of cherry picking great players from the orchard of wvw hasn’t given anything back to the servers they’ve ruined to get there.

And I say ruined, because other servers copy the model that seems to work the best. Blackgate is #1, so it must be the best. So the same crappy way of doing things gets imitated in smaller scale at lower tiers, making the whole problem worse.

That’s not on ANet – that’s on the people that have and continue to do it.

And all of the QQing posts that people make fun of? Those kinds of outmanned “unfair” matches that Blackgate is upset about is what the bulk of the other servers in NA have deal with EVERY WEEK. Not just for a couple of months of tournament, but all the time.

Except we didn’t do this to ourselves. We’ve never got any benefit from it.

And we don’t care that finally, finally it’s happening to you. Enjoy a taste of what you’ve forced so many others to gorge on.

For two months we lost. You would think if we had an issue with losing we would have been complaining long ago. The issue here is two servers planning to trade wins to come out on top in a tournament. It is literally an unstoppable plan, and a mistake in how the tournament functions.

We are letting you know that your situation is not unique in the slightest and that there are servers who faced odds like this for the last year and have never flooded the forums with threads crying about WvW not being fair. In fact 2 to 1 odds in nothing compared to the 5 or even 10 to 1 man odds I have seen in some match ups in the bottom tiers.

I will admit I complained about free transfers but more about their poor implementation and lack of limits. If the bottom servers got no sympathy after free transfers left several servers all but empty expect no sympathy being on the server that buys guilds and placed 1st in gold last season.

There was never “honor” in WvW. How can drastically outnumbering your opponents and PvDooring their structures overnight be considered “honorable”? That’s what determines 90% of WvW outcomes.

The only difference is that BG players QQing here have never experienced what every other server experiences regularly. That’s what makes it so annoying to read.

SO this is what I don’t understand about these posts… you make fun of BG players like NOW YOU KNOW how we feel. WHy are u directing that at the players of BG instead of arenanet? There the ones in charge of balancing the game not bg players, ur complaining to the wrong people and in the process just making everyone mad.

It’s tier 1 servers that (first) started buying groups of people from “lesser” servers, leaving broken communities and chronically unbalanced tiers and matchups.

While this wasn’t against the rules, it left other servers experiencing exactly what Blackgate is experiencing right now – being completely outmanned all the time.

In your previous post, where you said “guess I’ll go play another game”? THAT’S what people remaining on stripped servers have done too, further affecting those left behind who still want to play.

The main difference, of course, is that they didn’t do anything to get themselves into that situation. Blackgate has.

And before you say “Well, other servers do it too – both Jade Quarry and Tarnished Coast do it!” you’re absolutely right, they do. And they suck just as much as Blackgate does for doing it.

But Blackgate has been sitting at #1 for a long time, and despite having the luxury of cherry picking great players from the orchard of wvw hasn’t given anything back to the servers they’ve ruined to get there.

And I say ruined, because other servers copy the model that seems to work the best. Blackgate is #1, so it must be the best. So the same crappy way of doing things gets imitated in smaller scale at lower tiers, making the whole problem worse.

That’s not on ANet – that’s on the people that have and continue to do it.

And all of the QQing posts that people make fun of? Those kinds of outmanned “unfair” matches that Blackgate is upset about is what the bulk of the other servers in NA have deal with EVERY WEEK. Not just for a couple of months of tournament, but all the time.

Except we didn’t do this to ourselves. We’ve never got any benefit from it.

And we don’t care that finally, finally it’s happening to you. Enjoy a taste of what you’ve forced so many others to gorge on.

Actually you are being misled by a lot of the trolls. Blackgate has not been ranked at the top of WvW since the beginning of February. Even after winning the first two weeks of this season, we did not get ranked first. See BG ranking here:

This is actually the top two ranked servers conspiring against the third and the rest of the servers in gold league, because they lost for the first time in over 2 months.

And just for clarity’s sake, BG did previously help people move over, but never did anything beyond donate a portion of the transfer fees. Nobody has ever come even close to making a profit via jumping to BG, it just seemed like a nice thing to do to lower the cost to people that want to play with you.

well thanks to arenanet not allowing any kind of way to limit 2v1, all 3 servers in t1 have nobody to fight now. TC and JQ wont fight each other and BG is now outmanned on EBG on a weekend, during a tournament, in t1 gold.

RIP wvw good job arenanet. Guess everyones gonna go play a diff game now.

If JQ and TC don’t want to mess with their scorings, it’s just not take the objectives (thus not affecting the ppt) and do some open field battles for fun.

And blackgate have two endless hordes of people that want them dead to fight against… So they have quite a bunch of people to fight too.

And about being outmanned on Eternal Battleground… Friend, my server have outmanned buff on Eternal battleground (and in at least one other map) 24/7 in non-league weeks… Don’t come crying to me about that because you don’t know how bad it can get.

the reason your seeing an increase in posts is because a lot of wvw players play on blackgate. When they experience bad mechanics there will be a lot more posts complaining then on lower servers. And im not expecting sympathy? For all I care u guys can all just transfer to BG and we can all be friends again. THey need to fix wvw it is a POS that is not being played.

And why BG is crying here like if anyone else care about how they are feeling? WvW is meant to be a unfair kind of pvp… If you want a balanced and fair pvp mode, spvp is where it is.

Haha sounds like your server is the POS if nobody is playing. Looks like BG was broken, and the forums would have had me believe they were enjoying the 2 v 1 because of all the bags.

This is beyond foolish. You think you would have come anywhere near second had SoS worked with BG? SoS did whatever they wanted to. My personal favorite was once, after capping SMC from us, they decided the most important objective for them to attack was the hyleks. They literally ran to the hyleks and killed them and the siege we had facing JQ there. Meanwhile JQ took SMC uncontested.

BG did what they could to keep JQ from gaining points, but claiming they had a 2v1 with the help of SoS is beyond ignorant and a real insult to SoS. You clearly do not have much respect for them if you think you could have attacked them so easily in a 2v1.

Yes and if we truly wanted you to be kept down in a 2v1, why didn’t we start working together again once JQ started catching up? Perhaps for once did you think that what JQ and TC are doing (trading wins more than the 2v1) is more frowned upon by other servers than the BG trolls on the forums? In my opinion it is even more insulting to the lower tier servers that have to fight their hearts out every week to stay where they are let alone win.

Its pretty simple. BG isn’t like by anyone because they can’t play unless they have 70+ blobs. TC and JQ are fighting each other in the tournaments. They just both agree killing BG is more important and fun, so we are concentrating our efforts on them.
Maguuma puts up more of a fight then BG does, at least they aren’t afraid to fight open battles. BG won’t do this unless they outnumber you 2-1, Why attack the other when we are killing BG, and yes we will help kill BG while the other is doing it.
BG is bleeding, because they are just mean in WvW, and queue times of 3+ hours. All I can say is, Tier 1 and tier 2 do appreciate all the BG players transferring over.
