You won’t go wrong with any of the Tier 3 servers as all three are filled with tough competitors. I’m on FA myself and we just lost a guild to TC so you could help rebalance the playing field if you come to FA. TC is definitely tough competition with probably a little better coverage overall and strong strategic focus. YB is probably a little smaller than FA but are tough determined fighters. Good luck wherever you land!
Do not come to CD unless you want a band of egotistical guilds and commanders that think they own the place, and the only “strategy” they have is moving the Zerg from point A to point B to point C and then back to a again.
Seriously, the other day we had a commander ignore SMC for four hours straight, and ignoring pleas in chat just because he was on his karma grind circle of death, and that led to SMC to be almost taken until other commanders stepped in.

Nap, first really love that you mentioned NSP as one of your considerations! We are continually are growing our server and working together! We would love to have some more EU coverage too and you’d be more than welcome! All our guilds like to have a good time and joke around with each other all while still being competitive
Blackgate would be the perfect server for you guys! Blackgate is a determined WvW server currently ranked #4, which is T2.
This means you come here and you can be someone; you can help our (and possibly your server) achieve something together. We have no inherent chain of command and our commanders and guilds all work together to get things done; even the little guilds.
Our WvW crew never backs down; and we refuse to go down without a fight. A win or loss without a a few bruises to show for it doesn’t make you stronger and each week we are getting stronger by fighting tooth and nail to live up to the name Beastgate!
Our NA timeslot while it is the weakest; is improving very much and we currently only have queues for EB and Home BL on Friday/Saturday. If you want to be apart of a server that is rebuilding and trying to re-establish themselves as a dominant T1 force with guilds that respect eachother and work together, the Blackgate is open to you!

NSP Is doing incredibly well for having all of 2-3 medium sized organized guilds. We have been fighting people like GOF and RE from Darkhaven, two massive guilds and the point difference this week is not enough to justify that we have the outmanned buff and never have ques.

Yaks Bend is the server for you. We need players in your time zone, we have several WvW focussed guilds, pugs who are willing to listen and learn, and have a never say die attitude. The queue times are minimal.
I am currently scouting out Yak’s Bend. This decision will not be made quickly as we don’t want to make multiple moves. It’s hard enough coordinating one move with more than 20 people at once.
I apologize about not responding to PM’s. I’ve been reading them, but I’ve been getting 10 new PM’s a day and don’t have time to reply to all of the PM’s sorry!

Badger Spirits is one such guild, primarily focused on WvW. We do some PvE on the side but we’re mostly in WvW. We have our own Mumble server but we also use the Alliance 1000 slot Mumble as well.
You should move to Isle of Janthir, we have a very strong oceanic presence, IoJ has most of the maps from usually 2 AM – 12 PM EST most days and it starts to taper off. And we have the outmanned buff a lot during NA prime time from usually 5 PM – Midnight EST. Hit me up if your interested to hear more! If we fortified NA prime time, IoJ could dominate and probably be top tier!

I’ll second this. OS from NSP have been playing extremely well. In fact, I’ll extend it to your server – I shouldn’t limit it to just OS. This week has been an extremely close tight battle, it has to be one of the closest yet. And from what i can tell … and offer:
Darkhaven (my server) – has some great players, we always do welcome a larger like-minded player base. But we do presently have some great larger guilds working together as noted. DragonBrand – Just a massive late night zerg who claw away everything in their path. I believe they have a decent and largest presence 12pm onwards. Continually send us to bed with nightmares (kidding) … but you got some heavy numbers (which surprised the heck out of me this week, so I think you have recruited some guilds since our last meeting). NSP – Definitely strong in tactics, but still working on growing their numbers. I know they lost a few guilds last month, and are still growing. May be a good fit for a 40 person guild who would like to make an impact.
This is just based on my weeks present match up and perspective (in comparison to the last time I played against them).
Regardless of where you find your home, I hope it suits your guild and objective well. I do hope you don’t just jump to the top, but rather consider the server and what you want to bring to the server.

Not that I’m anything like a spokesman, but I recommend Sanctum of Rall. We have been in tier 2 for weeks, there are lots of good fights whether we are ahead or behind, and this week I have never had to queue.
Yak’s Bend needs more people in general , the core group plays even when the odds are against us. There’s too many players that just PvE after Day 1 of WvW. In other words, people that WvW for WvW not for points. Our numbers drop immensely during the week due to various reasons.
It’s not that the server is bad at all, it’s just that we simply don’t have enough people to scout and/or zerg. We get outnumbered on every map, yet were able to take Stonemist castle even against 2x the numbers.
I’ve been on Yaks’s since it was tier 7 and it’s always been no queue. At most the queue is five minutes.
Also the server doesn’t have huge guilds. It’s mostly a bunch of small or medium guilds. Other than The Older Gamers [TOG] and it’s subsidiaries there’s not many large guilds at all as far as I know.

You said you were interested in our bracket so I’ll tell you about my server, NSP.
NSP never has queue times except sometimes on Friday night, and even then its not for very long and its only on 1 map. There is also room to play somewhere and you should never have to wait in a queue. Considering this is surprising we do so well.
We have no major guild to run the server. Most of our bigger guilds zerg guilds have left to higher ranked servers because they would rather transfer to try to seem good then actually play the game. Everyone who is left is dedicated to NSP and play hard even when losing.
While I do have respect for DH and DB, they both have bigger guilds and are overall stronger severs then us already. Joining NSP would even out the fight even more making a very competitive and interesting bracket.
I’m from Tarnished Coast, and I recommend Yak’s Bend. While obviously I would love for you guys to join us because we kick kitties, Yak’s seems to have the lowest average population in what is currently an extremely competitive tier. I obviously have to put in something for my own server though, so I’ll just say TC fulfills all your requirements as well. Anyone who plays here or transfers knows it’s just a great place to be.
I’ll also look at tiers 4 and 5, tier 4 could use some help balancing out crystal desert (or you could go to crystal desert and try to push tier 3) and tier 5 looks fun in general.
Right on the button. As much as I would love to see more come to Tarnished Coast it would be awesome to see you guys on Yak’s Bend. Yak’s Bend has put up some awesome fights and is a constant enemy at the gates. They are tier 3 and have been clawing at Fort Aspenwood for second and always letting us know they want first place. Their players always seem to be on the ball and don’t exploit/hack to get what they want.

If Tier 3 still isnt something you want to do, then swing on over to Henge of Denravi. They used to be the top boarderland, but for the past 5-6 weeks most of the players left. Only people that remain are the very loyal hard working members that honestly care for the server. You will find a “beaten up” people, but they are ready/willing to get their name back up.

I’d also recommend any of the tier 4 servers, especially Maguuma. They are a good server with spirit and a few more guilds could start to make them competitive for tier 3.

Ummmmm no. IoJ has no queues at NA primetime outside of friday reset. And even the past two resets we only had our borderland and EB had queues. Most of the time we actualy run outmanned during those time over the weekdays. The stigma of “The high tier servers all have queues” needs to go. Even T1 servers have their weak times.
Also Even with this huge disadvantage during our NA timeslot the server still pulled out 10k point comeback on friday to take second. Showing that even with less numbers we still will fight tooth and nail and will never back down.
despite your decision not to join an EU server, they are a great choice for NA players.
and you might consider looking at tier 1 servers despite servers being listed as full WvW turnout is waning.
I really hope the feb WvW patch will bring players back.
If this trend continues we are going to have to start consolidating the WvW player base onto less servers.
ok now for the shameless server pitch Blacktide could use more WvW players we have had no Queue’s on most borderlands and EB more often than we have had them for the past two weeks.
