We are stuck with picking one defensive and one offensive of a certain stat type for rings and accessories but beyond cost it hasn’t mattered since we can make Omni infusions for the stat we want with +5 AR.

In wvw this is different.
If I wanted 6 guard killer infusions I cannot do it unless I drop my “defensive” berserker accessory for something else with an offensive slot that would just reduce my dmg thus making it a pointless endeavor.

Please change them to Omni so people stacking a certain stat can do so ;-)

That’s literally the reason why they’re doing it.

The intent is to force you to evaluate whether it’s more important to stack that stat or to get the extra gimmick that comes with the infusion. If stacking the stat is more important in your build, then losing that extra bit of guard killer is the tradeoff you have to make to do it.

If that extra % of guard killer is really worth that much to you, then maybe trading that extra bit of precision for a little bit of vitality might be worth it to you.

Either way, the whole point of the offensive vs defensive infusion was to force people to consider tradeoffs.

Can already create omni infusions with agony resist, only makes sense to have option for the guard killer/defense or at minimum being able to stack the same stat like precision/power/defense. That was the whole point of omni infusions in the first place since we cannot use two of the same ascended gear.

I saw this on the NPC class forum, guards aren’t happy about these infusions…

ANet has NO CLUE what it’s like to guard doors in WvW. First players get access to 10 levels of buffs specifically to do damage to us, and 10 more to defend against us. Now they get ascended infusions specifically to counter us? Talk about OP!

Players get all the buffs, while patch after patch rolls out with no guard improvements!

I can’t wait till ESO comes out so I can switch, I heard from a friend in beta that NPC’s in that game get buffs all the time…
