Why are things like this okay?
It’s called home advantage. It might not be fair, but I don’t think it should be changed, servers should have that kind of advantage on their borderland/third of the map.
Occam Pi (Ele), Acaena Elongata (Warrior), Finja Salversdotir (Ranger),
Bytestream (Engineer), Vim Whitespace (Thief)
You can get that. But you have to attack the keep.
High ground advantage.
Take Ogrewatch cut, you can put catas and trebs on the hill just to the east of overlook keep and hit their walls too. Instead of whining, please take the time to check thinks out before you say its unfair. There are more constructive threads on these forums, I’m tired of all the useless ones popping up.

nvm, thought it was ‘crystal desert hill’ and not just their garrison. either way it’s still pretty lame that you have to have the keep or else they can put siege in ridiculous places like that :|
Why is that lame?
Holding the keep should be a massive advantage and it should be hard to take the towers around it.
Just because of this I could not get one POI yesterday. On my particular instance, the opposing server was holding both the castle and the tower and we could not siege any of them. Off all the map, this one was just impossible to breach. We could run all around the map, siege everywhere but this. It was frustrating.
I don’t see anything wrong with it. Your snarky insult (“are they gonna stick to their answer of “all’s fair in love and war” for anything they don’t know how to fix?”) will probably fall on deaf ears ;-)
It certainly feels about as far from an exploit as you can get.

“Does arena net acknowledge this as an exploit or are they gonna stick to their answer of “all’s fair in love and war” for anything they don’t know how to fix?”
Pretty much this ^
It is completely fair and intended. They simply out maneuvered you.
If you can’t take their keep, they get to bombard you from up high.
This video pretty much explains your situation perfectly:
