Can someone explain why we get bonus chests again? I know back then when rewards were introduced you got bonus chests for the levels you leveld alread before they introduced rewards. Nice and fun. And worked as intended.

But after the recent patch it seems I have a few bonus chests again(not too many) on all my chars… even the ones I played WvW only after chests were introduced.

I think they are 1-week retroactive rewards for your server’s ranking.

That would make sense. I think it says 3 chests and we were 1st last week.

Yep those are for where your server placed last week. Each week you’ll be getting the m too. 1st=3 boxes. 2nd=2 boxes. 3rd=1 box

As a matter of interest did you do WvW on multiple characters last week?

If so did you just get 3 bonus chests total for your account or did each character on your account get 3 chests?

Ie…you did WvW with 2 characters last week and got 3 extra with each of them?

I got 4 bonus chests which made no sense to me at all but I’m not complaining.

could it not have something to do that the chest are account wide now?(rank is not tho)

My understanding of this has been:

Any and all of of your characters had their remaining bonus chests and them summed into pooled account chests. The number of chests your server got from winning was also adding to this. This number of chests is displayed across all characters and decreases across all characters when a chest is claimed (thus now account based).

Yay three more greens to get over the next few days! Really, the rank up chests are a joke.
