Short and sweet:

Morning crew starts showing up in Eternal, we cap our first supply camp and I drop an Alpha Golem, thinking I’ll be all cool while we take tower after tower.

Only some random @#$# from a zerg guild immediately hops in it and I have no option to take control like you can with the stationary siege.

WHY?

The owner of the seige weapon can kick anyone off it. Just walk up to it and press “F”. I’m not sure if this works for golems but it works for everything else.

I’m guessing someone posted then deleted. But yea, you don’t get the override on a golem. Quite disappointing. I tried whispering the guy but of course, got no response.

Golems are a waste of time and resources currently. They need to be redone/fixed. A single ram > Golem. Golems die really fast, do extremely low damage to the gates, and apparently can’t even be repaired. And your zerg can take 2 keeps before the golem even reaches the 1st of them. Don’t even mention the cost.

Don’t even mention the cost.

Omega Golems have 1500 range.

They are fine as they are.
Single Golems are a waste, thats true but they get a LOT stronger if you use like 3-5 or more to cap sth fast without having supply problem at the doors itself. Kind of stealth capping in a moment the enemy is most likely busy somewhere else.

I wouldn’t call it a waste; this was during morning recaps so the guy who piloted it, no-good lame-o that he is, got to take it to at least 3 towers in a row.

Only annyong thing about golems imo is the speed. I cant speed them as ranger but mage speed works even their perma self speed works while they are in. Bug, feature or whatever but this shouldn’t be.

Yeah, that can be quite annoying if the golem you’ve paid the gold can’t be used by yourself because someone took it… I don’t see the point why you can’t force someone out of it like you can with all the other siege equipment…

99% of golems blueprints are from the jumping puzzle anyway

but yeah i had one stolen earlier while assaulting DB
