I’ve seen larger battles in my tier, and haven’t seen this lag.
And lets be realistic here, if this was Turbine with Asheron’s Call lag wouldn’t be the issue, it would that the servers are still being hotfixed, and rolled back, and decal isn’t updated so no one could play.

Handle more than 100 people fighting at the same time?
What game has this with a complex skill system? I am sure there is one but I don’t think I have really ever played it. Also I have been in plenty of 100 or so player fights and it still works well. It does get crossed up with huge SM fights between 100+ players on each side but again not sure how many other games deliver on this level.
Ok I may be exaggerating a little with 100 people, but those 3-way SM fights with like 150-200 plus people are just not fun at all.

Yeah tier one but i mean we should be able to have huge battles regardless of tiers.
lol you must not have played asheron’s call lately. They been having some pretty crappy lag spikes since some of their questionable updates (cough cough player olthoi update). I mean I just remember back in 1999 playing Asherons Call fighting groups of people and lagging like I am now. Ok I am exaggerating a bit but it deffenitaly feels like I am back in 1999
Intense skill lag exists in t3. It generally happens when 2 zergs collide suddenly. If you are staring at each other, not much lag, but when a portal bomb or waypoint bomb occurs, everyone in that entire map instantly obtains 5-10 seconds of skill lag.
It happens with 100 or less people for sure. Again, it triggers more often upon a sudden clash, as opposed to gradual escalation.
I stopped playing AC back in 2004 or 2005. Right before the second expansion came out. I remember in the beginning they had some Server Issue for the first few weeks, it felt like they were doing maintenance or backup on Sundays that killed performance, but thats about all I remember(well besides Graphics lag near Aerlinthe Crater). And that was before broadband was common.
But, I’m saying if you are talking about T1, its just a cluster kitten right now. Some of my Guild is still on JQ, and they were saying Skill lag is bad. But I’m not sure I’ve seen complaints out of the tiers. And if that is the case, its overpopulated, probably due to the fact everyone is roaming in those megazergs.

maybe they are attempting to maximize short term profits.
the lag in t1 is intentional to try and get the bandwagoneers to stop cramming into one server.

then they shouldn’t of had free transfers to medium pop servers with seafarers rest being medium pop and in T1.
