I’m interested in status of Tarnished coast myself. Is it still full?
I don’t think any Servers are FULL right now.
They generally increase caps when they have Trial Weekends so that is probably what we are seeing here.
It’s not helping population/coverage balances in any way but so long as PvE and WvW Servers are linked it is what it is.
Honestly an easier solution for ANet is to simply lower WvW Map Caps. 6 Hour Queues for WvW should do a nice job of getting people to migrate off
(not to mention reductions in Skill Lag and general Server performance)
Isn’t ‘Full’ is determined by currently online not total accounts on a server? So large amounts of people can get in during off hours?

I believe it is a combination of both in this game. Only ANet knows for sure though
people log onto “Full” servers in off hours where concurrent players are lower. Hence the issue with tier 1.
TC is not full, but I dont think this thread is for that. It’s … “hey anet, are we doing this intentional, or are we planning to recitify said issue which has been noted”
TC unfortunately is in a bad spot. We will never been able to out do the t1 (JQ,BG, and SoR) simply because we do not have enough coverage. We have good guilds in that time period, but not total coverage, and simply cant compare to the size and numbers of people that poor into and out from the portals of those 3 servers.
So, no shot at a golen yak, even though TC is the server who idolizes the yaks and hosts weekly yak parades. When it comes to WvW, its a coverage game.
Unless Anet has some super trick up there sleeves on how the grading will work, I would expect the rest of the servers will continue to lose pop to one of the competing servers, or the ones slotted best to win the silver/bronze leagues.
I wish there was a hard and fast rule and response to server stacking which would make the attract the guilds of mega servers to offload to the rest of the servers.
There is no WvW population cap, only a PvE one.
e.g. As one of the most popular PvE servers, TC (rank #4 NA) can be harder to get into than the T1 servers, even though it has a much lower WvW population.
This is why WvW and PvE servers need to be separated because without that there is no way to start balancing WvW populations.
population cap should be in the reverse order of WvW ranking…… the higher the rank, the lower the population cap……
