I’m seeing rank icons for pvpers in wvw designating something. I don’t really care what it is, but why are there no rank icons for the game mode i’m playing?

Can I have a little identifier next to my name to make me feel like I did something when I worked for those 2k+ wvw points?

Anet so neglecting to WvW, what is wrong?

I did a whole lot for it, longer than any pvp match tourney thing for sure.

Where is my wvw icon next to my name like pvpers? Is this not deserving recognition as a reward anymore?

Gimme a little gimmick thing that says “this person did wvw for a long time and wasted life” next to my name. I’ll feel more like the next few months of wvw might be worth the recognition since its so dead now.

People would be like “wow…2k points…your not as high as others, but your pretty high I guess..”

I would totally get off on that in a narcissistic way.

Pvp is like this game mode where you can have maxed out gear for no reason…Man i worked for gear LONG time.

Why did anet give special icons to pvp? they don’t work as hard or do anything as long as others.

The slap in the face is that pvp icon is visible in wvw…doesn’t have anything to do with wvw! Those people with those names tagged…what am I suppose to do? Look and “AWWWW… anet neglected wvw again…”

Dear God, NO! Those icons are so incredibly annoying that I’m hoping they only show in the mist lobby. Otherwise, remove them or give an option to turn them off.

SURE! Personalized graphic displays all around! Why we no get anything like that either? other games have plenty of options and if they don’t they can at least be modded!

Like, gimme something memorable that I can look at and say “yea that sweet little thing took a lot of work but its mine.” WvW Titles…sure those are ok but anet you messed up when you showed me those PVP icons in WvW…I felt like my country was invaded. Where are the WvW icons representing My accomplishments in My usually played game mode?

Pvpers in wvw just won’t know…they have 2k, 3k ranked people around and just socialy bunk the entier mix with those icons! they are nothing to compare old wvw vets to, expecialy since the maps and the entire game mode changed with the HoT patches.

Anet YOU LEFT US WITH NOTHING TO PRIDE OVER FOR ALL THE YEARS OF WORK GETTING TO THOSE RANKS. Gimme a stupid icon next to my name. We wvws deserve that kind of recognition at the very least!

No thank you, theres enough crap on the screen to deal with, and ranks are useless enough after you max everything because excess points are unusable for anything. I cant stand playing frontline because I get focused all over the place with endless cc’s, condi spam, and tons of aoe bombs because people target ranks, why make it stick out more and make yourself a bigger target.

Nope, I want my rank Icon like the pvpers. Where is it anet? xmas gift? Can’t just cater to some other game mode and leave us with nothing but a worthless pile of broken maps…gimmeh icon.

Whether you’re joking or not – I personally think if they are to implement said WvW rank related icons then they should be a hover-over feature such as the World Completion Badge is.

Why?

I do not like clutter.

The PvP icons are already awkward enough in PvE; I wish I could turn mine off on toons I don’t use in PvP at all.

The only thing I would find reasonable about having publicly displayable WvW rank icons/badges would be so that other players know you might have all unlocks and request you to jump on the Flame Rams, for example, instead of someone without the mastery aka: very low ranked players thus optimizing and making best use of the situation at hand.

You people realize that the most likely icon WvWers wil get is a big fat finger right smack in the middle of the screen, right.

Personally I don’t need it. And you have to admit that wvw ranks don’t say anything about your personal skill. PvP is a bit different because you need to work your way up to the top (whether it’s working or not…)
But I definitely don’t need more stupid colourful shiny all over my screen.

They give Pvp something pretty special imo. They get their own insignia basically, an identifier with some kind of value.

I want something like that for wvw. I could care less if others could disable viewing it because that would be a feature. Just a simple stupid square box or something. They gave it to people who are competing in simplistic timespan compared to wvws.

Where is WvW’s icons? Its blatant neglect of a mass used game mode in favor of the CASH that anet isn’t going to get from promoting pvp in this way! I don’t want to watch people gain anything, I want to DO it and they took most of that away when they killed roaming!

Imo i’ve DONE most of whatever to gain that same thing a PVPer is seen flaunting around a wvw zone! why is that even there? Did the even hit gold rank?

Anet abandoned the previous mode in favor of these maps that people hate. they didn’t VETERAN in the previous playmode in most ways….it literally changed the game and nobody wants to play it because it changed for BORING. Why run so far, why defend this, why do anything but follow the big fat zerg. Its the same all around servers. All i want is a sign that says “I was there, before it sucked and nobody played it.” right smack next to my name in game.

Its like they think we are lucky the game exists and praise for the eye candy enviroment i only look at while no action is going on…is necessary for expansion. Why? I look at the environment yes…but most of the time I really just play and concentrate…whats with all these environmental things? Gameplay is big in any game, its the core! And WvW totally has dropped the CORE of the playing!

And thats why I need that wvw icon. Just to remember how it all was before ANET decided to mess it all up.

I’m actually a little jealous, tbh. Would prefer an option to disable, though.

Dear jebus no. Those rank icons are annoying as all get out. If they were included in WvW I’d uninstall.

Honestly, I’d mostly just like to have a drop down list to toggle which WvW rank you’re displaying.

Please no. The thought of some karma train kitten from EOTM waving their rank 3000 in my face after him and his ten mates managed to down me….

But please remove those annoying pvp rank things from wvw. I don’t care if someone is rank 1 or rank 2000000 in pvp.

Why not? Because WvW ranks are completely meaningless. And because Anet is desperate for players to notice their failed esports: hence the obnoxious icons, while on the other hand, they don’t really care that WvW exists, so why show it off?

This is only one digit. Now imagine one with 4 when u have more then 1k ranks. Would look silly and unwanted imho.
