Why only Soldier Trinkets in www badge+gold vendor ? When more gear was intoduced to www with reduced badge prices and added gold, only soldier trinkets were added to that merchant. Why not to add Trinkets with other stats, same as armor/weapons.

Badge+gold merchant has all the main stat combos, different tabs.
The badge only merchant offers only Pvt I think.

Oh sorry, thinking armor not trinkets….yeah wondered same thing when I got a set from that merchant a couple months back. I’m assuming they knew they were adding ascended for badges and didn’t want people getting kitten ed because they burned badge stacks 2 months before ascended trinkets were added.

Correct me if i’m wrong but aren’t you able to buy trinkets for karma at the lvl 80 maps like cursed shore? And if you WvW you should have more karma then tokens.

This is easily correctable. I hope they introduce them soon.

You can only buy a handful of trinket sets from temples. Berkserker’s is an example of a set which you can not buy.

Yes but thats also the case for Dungeon token NPCs and Karma NPCs. They have the same thing as WvW but not zerker trinkets so thats a bad example. What im saying is yeah WvW only has Soldier but can’t he just exit the map and click a waypoint to see the other trinkets?

This is a reason why pvp has no sympathy for pve who must go to wvwvw for map completion.

How are you forced to play PVE? I never do PVE now and i have over 2million karma just from WvW, and Dungeons NPCs dont sell trinkets.

Read. Still not seeing why you would be bringing up Dungeons as a separate entity, as opposed to open world. Because both are PvE and the OP is talking about only wanting to WvW and not PvE, which includes both Dungeons and Open world.

Who cares about your karma?
Cursed shore is a pve map, so you gotta go in pve for those items (if you wanna buy them with karma)

Jesus I hate explaining to people who can’t read. I mentioned dungeons to point out that they contain the same thing as WvW , meaning they also don’t have zerker trinkets. Meaning even if he went to PVE it would not matter because whatever is in PVE it will also be in WvW. The current way to obtain trinkets does not depend on doing just PVE, as the currency to obtain them is through Karma, which is easily obtained through WvW. You just port there and buy it. Now if Karma was purely gained through PVE or if some trinkets were specific only to PVE then yes I would see the issue here. Someone above stated we would be forced to PVE but he clearly just said that without reason, as dungeons don’t offer trinkets that are only bought trough dungeons/pve.

if i play wvw only and i start a new char (or try a new build, etc) i must take my new toon, discover the pve map, wp to a pve map, do the event if required and the take the item. Otherwise, if the trinket is not in the merchant list, have to start to accumulare money (that i could use for food, sieges, upgrades etc) open the TP and buy the object. With my bank full of badges.

Oh stop the load of bs, you’re just trying to find whatever you can to argue. If you are leveling a new character aren’t you already being FORCED to do PVE as you explained it? What you are talking about now is being lazy, discovering the 4 WPs for the NPCs does not take you MORE than 10 minutes. Again try to understand this, he is not missing out on any trinkets by doing just WvW and not anything PVE related, and I don’t think you can convince anyone here that wasting 1 minute to discover 1 WP is being “forced” to do PVE. If OP had to complete the FULL Map to unlock NPCs, then yes that is being “forced” but he is not, as the currency is obtainable through both WvW and PVE. Well the trinkets not available for karma are only craftable, so I guess you could (weakly) argue you’re forced to PvE to get gold fast enough to buy them, or to harvest the mats. It would be nice to have a few more stat spreads for karma, but it’s not really a big deal. Jewelcrafting has to have some sort of purpose I suppose.

To be fair, running to Orr requires more than just discovering waypoints, for most WvW players they don’t have the luxury of having any PVE map unlocked, so it’s still a lot of running to get to Grenth temple.
