Why players zerg and why it will not go away

Much easier make optimal build when you use exotics. I don’t have motivation change my ascended gear when anet change things.
Very true, the warrior atm im migrating from guardian, will use exotics :}

You can just flush the ascended armor/weapons on mystic toilet with a exotic inscription/insignia of the desired stat to change it. It’s not really more trouble than making another entire exotic set unless you talking specifically about the jewellery.
But honestly… Everyone and their mother just run Commander’s with 6Durability runes if they are power, and Dire/Trailblazer with 4Nightmare+2Trapper Runes if they are condition. Not much to change there unless you are running some niche build.

Seems to me that all of yall are actually having fun just being able to stack servers. Then completely carelessly kill your enemies by out blobbing them down, with effort or expectation of counter play. So again yes you will absolutely hate ESO. Skill, gear, and tactics, win against numbers in ESO. You have been warned not to try this game. But if you do just get ready for that one to 4 month Champion Point system grind, get ready for the month of gear grinding, get ready for that looking a guides time to optimize your skills and builds, just to begin to compete with some of the more dedicated PvPers of ESO. ZOS is making the game more and more of, your carefree skill-less numbers will not save you type of game.
It actually took about a year to ding 50 on my first character in DAOC
And let me not start about crafting thereSounds like your dedication and skill means something in these other games. GW2 is practically handing out everything for free, there’s no sense of…..difficulty?
You can always try l2p in gw2 or go play games where gear give you advantage.
But gear does give you an advantage in GW2, a big one in some cases, and GW2 is pretty much the least skillful mmo around.
Isn’t it like a 10-15% boost or something in stats if you run full ascended crap? I still run exotics, I just don’t care enough to win anymore lol
My friend use exotics and win almost all fights.
I meant in terms of stat combos ie. using trailblazers.
Miranda Zero – Ele / Twitch Zero – Mes / Chargrin Soulboom – Engi
Aliera Zero – Guardian / Reaver Zero – Necro
Game which has immediate access to any gear/traits/skills would be nice. Any build can be used. Then WvW/PvP would only be about l2p.
GW2 is close. I stopped ESO at level 5 or so; just boring to level up. And my char looks ugly old women instead of a beauty what I have in GW2.
I just like zergs. But i’m a Pug and i’m not so good in roaming and guild wvw (after 4 years still don’t now what guild wvw is). But with a good commander on TS, i become better
I miss my commanders i liked to run with.
Game is much better when l2p. A lot of people did and fights were good.. then HoT hit now its just PvE rallybots for the most part.. so yeah numbers win unless you learn things like positioning, buffing, builds, sustain, timing your skills ect…
Kinda funny watching the few straggler guilds just wreck pug zergs
The primary reason why zerging is as bad as it is in GW2 is that the combat system doesn’t include character collision. Hence, multiple toons can “stack” on each other.

Nah zerging is bad because of lag… if they want 200 people to have a battle they need to work something out with that lag.
Otherwise they should lower the map caps down again.

Also, dont forget free IWIN button…I mean, why bother at all?

Where? One T1 US server pug mapblob consistently beat another T1 US server, no matter skill or anything

The people that know how to play do not die in said fights. What they do is recognize their allies are not willing to learn, if they were willing they would be in teamspeak, they would join guilds, they would stay on tag during a fight.
Its easy to recognize “PvE” type players, they usually die in the first few seconds, or they they back off to 3000 range soon as a fight starts.
Numbers does matter in some cases and timezones but most of the time it actually is about WvW vs casual/PvX

My server during EU, and lately SEA too, often has “outnumbered” flag in all 4 maps…so I would not call that “most of the time”…yet, other server still use wallhacks and TS spies too, just to be sure, I guess
I guess my whole guild is PVE guild, since moment we see other server mapblob vs us 15, we just port away, instead using “clever tactics” or “l2p”

Aah yeah I notice that in SEA myself. There tends to be a few guilds that run decently heavy numbers, and they move to the same server, even blob up together to discourage even numbers.
In my opinion shield generators are a big culprit here.. was a time you could discourage these sort of K-train tactics and get back to some semblance of fights against these non-pvpers.
But that’s not really most of the time. When people say " map blob" you show up and see its actually 20-30 dot plates. Those new dots plates help a lot. But without PvP’ers to pick/sustain/position, push/pull, veil, blast water, not die, it tends to be like you said.

Well, we can’t know for sure because anet didn’t disclose their math, but when we defend our ebg keep and have 20-25 defenders
(and unknown number roamers/afkers), if I still see “outnumbered” flag, I automatically assume we’re facing mapblob

Some kind of map balance would be nice for sure. Not sure what server/matchup your in but that does sound wonky.
I’m on TC currently. Like today in sea it was the usual 2 guilds, running 10 – 15 each sticking together so like 30 – 35 people abouts. We had the same if not more but wow it was pugs alright. bunch of us would either die right away or run off somewhere to the side… not so much fun when people do that.

T1…from the result you can see who is mapblob/ktraining 24/7 outnumbering other 2servers combined

Oh T1 yeah…. that is kinda a mess right now. 1 stacked server, 1 fairweather server(stacked), and don’t know much about the other.
I was worried about T2 being sparse but it is pretty durn fun, this week at least. Little bit of the victory points are because of PPT centered people doing their ninja thing but otherwise some good fights. Close match.
