I would like anyone that has experienced a WvW battle in which you couldn’t even hold a single tower add their input on what it is like to really get beat. Not sure why we are called bullies for winning, for something that is out of our control. I have been in server battles where we couldn’t even hold a few supply camp and never came to forums to start drama….need to take that to Anet cause I didn’t make this game!!!

As someone who has been on HoD from the start – we’ve had plenty of weeks like that in our decline, and during the rise of Kaineng and such, so its happened a few times. However, I think the main difference is you know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

The tier sticking in T8 doesn’t so much have that.

We got beaten in our first match in T8 and the when we win a match we get compared to DR and Kaining, even though many time they give us a run for our money. When their people come out to fight.

I’ve been with SF since head start, so I have experienced being slaughtered to the point of hoping to hold a supply camp for the tick.
There was some complaining from some of our members but it wasn’t as bad as what we see in tier 8 today. That being said, we also didn’t get stomped for a couple month straight. There were at least some moments where we could come up for air so to speak.
I understand being upset (over this very stale match-up), but the anger is misdirected. Be upset, that’s fine, and understandable, but I see no need for the passive aggressive BS that has become our tier 8 thread.
I can’t speak for my entire server, but I can tell you that the general feeling in CoSa is that we are also tired of this match-up. A lot of us are not even playing WvW much at the moment and using this opportunity to run some dungeons or level alts.

For all parties involved, let’s hope ANet does something to correct the situation, whether it be modifying the scoring algorithm, manual manipulation of the current score, or perhaps making the out-manned buff be useful somehow.

I didn’t transfer when we were getting slaughtered, why would I transfer now?
I have ZERO transfers on my account, and I don’t plan on changing that. What’s wrong with sticking with what you started with?

Well we would try to move up but anyone that want’s to pay to go to the other T8 servers are more that welcome.

I’d still really like to hear how you come to this conclusion, as a lot of my guild isn’t even playing WvW right now and instead are leveling alts or running dungeons because this match-up is stale and boring.
So I’d love to know how you draw the conclusion that we like the way this match-up sits, as I suspect this is just an example of the passive aggressive BS I’ve mentioned.

Well, if you don’t like the matchup, why don’t you switch? I mean it’s not like it’s a lot of gold or anything? The evidence points to a certain conclusion. Also, you’re saying “your guild” I totally get that maybe you’re not out there handing the other servers their kittens day in and day out… but someone is.

If you don’t like the matchup, change it. That was my point, All passive aggressive kitten aside. But I doubt it will happen, that’s not P/A, it’s a logical conclusion using basic human nature as a construct.

I just hate seeing people get the crap kicked out of them all day, then the guys doing it take some high road stance like, “it’s not my fault! Blame someone else!”. I wish they could fix it on all tiers, but they can’t. So it’s up to the players to do it. So do it.

I still don’t see how somebody not transferring means they automatically LIKE the current match-up. You have failed to explain that.
I don’t switch servers now for the same reason I didn’t switch servers when we were getting our butts handed to us. I’m finishing what I started and sticking with my server regardless of the current match-up. I figured that was respectable, but you seem to think the opposite.

You came to the conclusion by reading and comprehending the information in said reading… sorry man, that’s a BS answer lol. What was the information that you read that logically leads you to believe (the inference that you made) that if you are in SF and not transferring then you must like the current match-up.

I am indeed saying we DO outnumber you and that’s why it isn’t fun. Where do you see that I am saying anything to the contrary?

Anyway, back to leveling my alt since it’s the same boring match-up again. I’m sure you think I’m secretly excited and love this match-up, but really, I don’t.

Lol… we say stuff like it isn’t our fault because we started getting called bullies the first week we won a single match in T8. All of us in every tier wants the system changed has been a problem since day one. They must be working on it because of the reset they were about to do, then decided it wasn’t the best idea. Everyone hopes it is changed soon.

Well when you are in a T8 losing server, there is really no point in playing.

People in tier 8 feel entitled to a ‘better’ matchup even though a., there are less of them so they are less important, and b., there are terrible matchups in other tiers.

It doesn’t necessarily point to a certain conclusion. I (like others in SF) find the match stale, am fed up with the negativity in this tier, and am frustrated that we’re stuck in Tier 8 for who knows how much longer. I won’t even consider transferring to FC or ET. Not because I “enjoy winning” and “like it the way it it.” But because I’ve been on Sorrow’s Furnace since BWE1 and SF is my home. I’m not leaving SF no matter what. For good or ill.
