Most of YB is incredibly chill. Too much so, actually. The ones hollering on the are a very small minority.

YB is not guaranteed a link. By themselves they can compete with SBIHoD and SoSNsP, just slightly smaller.

But they probably will, maybe one of the smallest servers.

It will be interesting. I just hope that they normalize Glicko this time. And mark linked servers the same fullness as the host server so we don’t have bandwaggoning again ruining the matchups.

YB is doing pretty well on their own. I’m sorry but they don’t appear to need any linking at this time.

If they were paired up with a larger T3 server and somehow didn’t move up quickly, it’d be a repeat of the beginning of T4 this time. If they were paired with a current T4 server, they might face the same dilema, and alienate T3 and T4 for another 2 months.

YB needs a partner IF they plan on getting to T2 or higher, but if they can’t or won’t move out of T3, they don’t need to be paired with any server currently in either of these tiers.

YB will almost certainly be linked to another server. Anet seems to base links on population statistics. Considering that YB is still showing as Very High, I would assume they get linked with a server that has rather low population.

this is part of the problem. we can only guess at the voodoo logic being used to link servers and what the ultimate goal really is. 1st linkage was obvious 1-24 2-23 but happened so fast after the patch it did not account for mass movement with yb-jq-tc-db in particular. second linkage is less obvious what they did, but again didn’t account for recent moves and trends with population shifts before the linkage.

I guess tomorrow cant be any worse for YB and the T4 servers than the last linkage…. bad linkings wouldn’t be so bad if they were re-linked every 4 weeks, but 8 weeks is a long time……

Then why is he in here complaining about links and using YB as an example? they’re not the only server with problems. Relinks are on a 2 month schedule voted on months ago, most of the votes went for 1-3 months so they settled on 2. Dev posted last week it was happening this friday not on tuesday, yet here we are people asking why it wasn’t done on tuesday.

And if anyone comes in here with the excuse well “I don’t read the forums, don’t know what’s been happening”, if you’re going to use the forums, then at least read the dev post which is still on the first page.

Also YB can’t compete with t2 servers which all have link servers with them, why would they leave YB without a link unless they want to be cruel and leave them in t3 by themselves?
