By the way, remember what they announced wasnt that the overhaul would be ready for 2016, if i remember correctly they said the beta for it would be coming in 2016.

I would be surprised to see the overhaul slip into 2017 but I also expect it to be a profound disappointment. I very much hope that I am wrong though.

As we all know, history tends to repeat itself. Don’t get your hopes up.

Keep in mind much of this WvW overhaul was supposed to be delivered with HoT in 2015. It is already four months behind and since we haven’t heard a peep it is at least another quarter and likely more. I can see slipping a year but two is unthinkable in ongoing development time frames. Not impossible just highly unlikely.

Really, people still think they are working on that “overhaul”… just let it die.

P.S. Or at least don’t expect something extraordinary. There were 0 communication with players and we all know what happens with all those good Anet ideas that they come up with.

I don’t understand why all the guessing / asking for info threads are even allowed. They go unanswered… always. Why aren’t these threads just locked and deleted or automerged into one locked thread… might as well be?

Black Desert is coming, and their open world pvp will probably take a big chunk of GW2 wvw players. Unless GW2 comes up with something good for wvw that actaully suits the wvw players, and in a very short time spam, it is most possible they will be lost forever.

There’s a marked difference between building hype for a completely new product and obviously dodging and stalling promised updates to a bad one that’s already in circulation. One is a smart move, the other will just make a company look like a joke.

Yes, but is still problematic. They need to stop putting their eggs in the wrong basket.

I feel it will be before summer. Maybe during summer. Anet is pretty quick to pump out content when it is even hinted at.

Maybe a week or two before the release of Crowfall or CU (whichever comes first) they’ll start hyping something. Too little too late, of course, but that’s likely what they’ll do.
