Will there ever be change to :

Thiefs pressing 1 skill for 6 times and the other person dies in 3 seconds even when he have 3200 toughness?

Mesmer confusion stacks or condition time?

Those two things need attention, or else i want to spam frenzy every 10 seconds too

Toughness is overrated. Spec for vitality.

I know in almost every other game, armor>health but in this game……….

My ele has 2000+ toughness and still got hit for 10k damage from backstab. Seriously, it sucks.

Look i can hold off a thief with blocking shield and endure pain, but then he go invisible and 3 seconds later he does the same attack again :P and i cant defend vs that anymore.

And for mesmers i have condition removals, but it always removes fire or bleeding first and not the confusion.. and if i try to dodge their clones i still get the confusion + i get damage when i want to remove these conditions… so i can only try to run.

But ye, toughness seems useless

That is called cover conditions. It’s condition-based play 101.

Hmm in my opinion the confusion from mesmer’s shouldnt affect your own skills or even dodging… to try to remove the confusion from yourself your also killing yourself.. so what to do about that.

And for thiefs i can hold out the first few attacks with blocks etc as i mentioned before, but i run out of those.. and the thief recharges the same attack within 10 seconds while my skills have 30 second cooldown.. I can swing my sword around hitting thin air and ‘hoping’ i hit the thief or else im toasted.

But thats my opinion and how i see it in WvW. Fighting other classes can be hard too but then i can fight back without or killing myself or hitting the air around me.

Hmm in my opinion the confusion from mesmer’s shouldnt affect your own skills or even dodging… to try to remove the confusion from yourself your also killing yourself.. so what to do about that.

What to do? Ask your teammates in TS to use cleansing abilities on you. That’s what everyone did in Guild Wars 1 when they had a confusion-like effect.

Don’t expect to win by just blocking, you must counter attack when you have the chance.

What to attack? Thiefs go stealth every 2 seconds.

And im roaming in WvW for mesmers, dont have TS etc. I just dont agree on that mesmer’s confusion does damage on when i use my own skills or dodge rolls, thats just weird.

This should rarely happen if you are a half decent player. With the exception of backstab the 1 abilities have a base damage of sub 500. Even if pumped up they will rarely do that kind of damage. Now a mug, backstab, HS combo can drop even a good player pretty quick but these days most builds run with some form of thief defense and generally get upset/annoyed by not being able to kill them or see them more so than dying.

Mesmers are a power class but confusion is part of the meta and IMO working fine.

Gotta disagree here, have you never used sword auto chain? Even in full PVT gear I hit for roughly 1500×2 then a 3k or so.
