I have enough gems to transfer a friend over to my server but there doesn’t seem to be any sort of gift option for transfers.

Don’t want to see this drop down the page, as I think it is a valid question.

Agreed, Wish I could see something like this. As I hate having to send gold to people :s

Would be a great idea. Right now it seems you have to give them gold to convert to it. Would be great if anet offered this though would help cut down gold farmers.

This is important! When the league starts, my friend will be stuck in that server!

This might not be the right forum for this question as it doesn’t really pertain to WvW.

Since there isn’t a option to do so and I doubt they will implement it by the start of the seasons you might want to convert you gems to gold and pool up enough to have him buy the transfer. Good luck

2 things

1) If you are transferring gold→gems to give him gems, why not just give him the gold
2) If cash→gems. There are prepaid gift cards you can use, just send your friend the info with the exact amount needed to transfer.

OP is saying he already has the gems (maybe bought with real money earlier), so there’s no point talking about gift cards or gold→gem conversions. Gems->Gold->Gems transfer is a giant waste and you lose out a significant % of the original value. I agree there should be an option to gift this if you already have the gems.
