I mainly sPvP and I got my Ransacker title (r41 or so) a few weeks back. My goal in WvW is to get badges via jumping puzzles since I never get enough by following zergs. I just want to go in, get my badges and get out. I want to be left alone. Though I sPvP, I have a full set of exotics with ascended trinkets, so I’m fully decked out.

I can pretty much handle any 1v1 that comes my way. I can’t prevent eles or thieves from disengaging but I won’t die to them. My hope is that if I display my ransacker title, people will have less motivation to attack me. If they do, I’ll kill them. If they don’t, I’ll just ignore.

Of course, none of this matters if a zerg hits me no matter how good a player one is. I even avoid 2v1s if I have a choice and never engage 3v1s if I can help it.

But in general, will you avoid engaging a high level pvp player alone in the jumping puzzle?

No, the opposite actually, I might think it will be a fun fight, so I will definitely attack you

I rarely look at those tags, and generally will try 1v1ing anyone…but one time I got drawn into a vicious rivalry with a crabtoss champion.

No one in WvW gives a kitten about the tags, and refer to billion other JP threads, we kill you! as a PVPer you should know this…or is sPVP really not much PVP? If your so pro too at 1v1s than go roam and kill people

Get some PVT armor (even if it’s from Karma vendors in Orr) and run with a zerg for a week. You’ll get a lot more badges than the jp’s will give you. I know you want to be left alone, but the jumping puzzle is where many like to go for 1v1 or just to catch someone off guard for an easy kill.

TL;DR – Zergs = badges. Jumping Puzzles = death traps.

NO, you will be shot on sight by the enemy; every time. Do you fix SPvP matches for wins?

WvW is PvP, and if an enemy sees you; you will be attacked. Given the low population in the JPs, I’m shocked that a veteran SPvP player is having problems.

Until I read this thread, I did not know what “Ransacker” was. I still don’t, other than “high SPvP title”… so no, I don’t see that making any difference to most people.

If you are not having problems stop wasting everyone’s time by making a silly thread.

I don’t like killing JP people as a mesmer. I sit on top of an objective, wait for them to get close (like crossing that vine!) and then yank them off So yes, I won’t kill you. Doesn’t mean you’ll still get your free badges.

If you’re such a good pvp’er…go get your badges doing Pvp. You don’t have to run in a big blog to get badges, at all, though it can get you them much faster.

Obviously sPVPers have never seen a troll before either…and no it’s not a win win its a I kill you/knock you off a cliff and laugh at you win
