Why are Green winning every matchup this week?

Is this a joke? o.O Are you really asking why Green is winning?

Because green is usually the strongest team in the tier?
Because glicko take a while to realize the green team can actually be red on the next tier?
Because in some cases the tier above have way more population than the one below, and when a server drop it simply win because it have a better coverage?

Actually, with the % of population that are colorblind, event the losers are winning.

I am colorblind and I can attest that the above statement is off topic.

I had actually noticed earlier that the green server was winning in every tier in both ladders,

I think (one of) WvW’s biggest problem right now is that matches are predictable to this level. In most tiers, 19 weeks out of 20 you know exactly who is going to win just by knowing who your opponents are. That isn’t competitive

In each of the tiers, the highest-rated server gets green, the second place team gets blue, and the lowest gets red.

It’s from sports where the winner gets the Green jacket.

Happens with many sports IRL as well that it’s always the same few teams at the top for many seasons until there’s a change in the team setups which affects the playstyle / strategy.
So those aren’t competetive either?

Euro mid Tiers and T4 in particular has always been very competitive, Riverside (Green) have lost a 20k lead from the weekend so I wouldn’t be suprised if Aurora Glade or Gandara overtake them. We’re pretty lucky that there are 4 or 5 servers very close in coverage and quality (Aurora Glade, Gandara, Riverside, Baruch Bay and now Augury Rock and Far Shiverpeaks are in the mix) so usually our matchups are close as hell.

STAT ALERT!

Since the beginning of the year in Gandara’s matches Green has a 50% win ratio, which is pretty competitive considering Green should be winning 100% of their matches as they will always have the higher rating. The chance of a ’blowout (over 20k lead for Green) is 25% since the beginning of the year. Just check out the recent results in T3 / 4, often decided on the final 36 hours.
