No, 20 is still possible, if you want it to match the other WvW achievements then would need to be 50 WvW ranks daily.

yes ppl will always complain. if you dont like it dont go on forums. its really simple.

I do not have any problems with people complaining, sometimes my curiosity is piqued enough to try and find out the reasoning (if any) behind some of the more odd complaints.

Your initial point that it should be 1 rank not 2 is fairly legit. Your later semi rant about how its unfair etc is the odd part.

this is exactly why i care. it takes too long to get for a no hardcore wvw player. take a leveler achievement for instance its similar to this one. in leveler you dont need 2 levels so why you need 2 lvls in this one?

To get the daily achievements reward you dont need to do this one at all just do the ones that are quickest/suit your playstyle the best.

If you are an achievement point kitten then this one is a layup for you as you can just buy the WXP ranks with laurels and badges when you dont have time to farm them.

Ah! You don’t focus on WvW but want to do the WvW achievements and wonder why they take you so long. The better you get at it, the faster they should come. You may not realize that some people log in and do WvW for 3 straight hours, then log off. I think the achievement’s more for people willing to happily sit for an hour or more.

Save your WxP potions so the next time it will go super quick.

People who don’t sit in WvW all day have 9 other daily achievements they can get without ever having to step foot into WvW. Honestly, this daily achievement was probably not meant for them, so they have two options: Grit their teeth and grind it out, or just get over it.

As for people on not-so-strong servers, I do feel bad. But this just outlines how terribly stacked the game is in favor of the top few servers, and that it isn’t the daily achievement that’s hard, it’s the situation for the lower population servers that Anet keeps perpetuating that’s hard for them.

I got this done in about an hour and a half (my server was steadily losing ground but but not being totally destroyed at the time) by

1. Only needing 3k to rank up the first time.
2. Getting 2 drops of liquid wvw exp as drops
3. Logging onto lvl 3 alt which only needed 1k, not 5k world exp to rank up and had 200ish world Xp already
4. Using the drops on this character and finishing the rest with a couple tower, camp and sentry

I guess that we’ll have to hoard our consumables, because otherwise this one will take hours.

I’m doing 50% PvE, 50% WvW.
I try to do every achievements every day.
I too find that this WwW is way harder to get than the other ones. It’s really not comparable. Every other achievement can be gained in less than 20 minutes, this one is harder (trick is to keep indeed WEXP vials … put they’re only +250 whereas you need roughly 10k without alts)).
I don’t complain – i can skip the achievement, indeed – i’m just pointing the fact that this one is quite different from the other ones (including the FORM one that can be rushed in 10 min by doing only one fractal)).

I won’t get this one done today either. It’s yet another rollover week for our server and I’ve had enough for today. The solution of course to horde the wxp consumables for the day it’s needed. Sucks, but that’s Anet daily stuff for ya.

Well it´s created for people who do not like pve and are almost in wvw all the time.

I got it done yesterday by accident, didn’t even know it was on the daily list, and was only in WvW for about 1 1/2 hr with some friends camp flipping and taking sentries…

Not true, a 5 man roaming group gains Wexp faster than a zerg. You just need to know the quickest Wexp farm paths. And borderlands > eb for Wexp farm. Only time I gain more by zerging is when we keep flipping SM when we have a mesmer in, that is all.

I would like to agree, however, if it encourages more people to play wvw on our currently underpopulated server, I don’t have a problem.

I’ve often thought it would be nice to have a few defense focused dailies thrown into the mix. Defend a tower, escort some dolyaks and defend a camp added into the WvW daily rotation list.

ITT PvE people complain about 1 achievement point a day being too hard to get.

While I don’t usually look at the daily achievement tab until I’m about to log out, this seems a bit harder than the others got get. Make it 1 level and it’s fine.

And how much WxP do you gain while sitting at the south Hills gate watching for golems? Or perhaps the garrison watergate is better?

In fact it is much easier on a weaker server cause if you get pwned you can retake stuff for a lot of WXP. If you just sit at enemy spawn waiting for a few players to walk out cause you have capped everything else… it will take some time.

Still… 1 rank would be enough. I mean the normal leveling achievement(which takes about the same amount of time if you do WVX – also getting tons of normal XP) is also only 1 level.

While we are at it change the group events achievement to 1 group event(they are much rarer than champions – cause there are champs without group events also) and change the champions achievement to more than 1 champ… this also seemed a bit strange to me… having harder things to be done more times and easier things only 1 time. lol.

why not make: use 1 supply to repair vs. kill 1000 champions.

Maybe a 5 man group can out WXP a zerg running around like a headless chicken, but no way can they out-wxp a zerg that’s got half a brain. If they get in ONE zerg fight and kill 40+ people that’s a ton of WxP.

When Deso has paintrain events we always try and beat our “Roundhouse kick” wherein we flip everything on the borderland, 1 by 1 till everything is ours. Our last record was 20 minutes 22 seconds. Last time i ran a 24 hour Paintrain i got 100 + WvW ranks and that was with getting into 2 1/2 hour keep fights etc, i’d love to see people get 100+ ranks as a 5 man group and not die due to boredom :P

100+ ranks? Let me do some math for you. 100ranks*5000wexp = 500000, let’s say we cap SM because it awards the most exp. So that gives us 500 SM caps within 24hours. So you have to be capping SM 21 times/hour, considering the buffed lord, you can’t….

Busting zergs has deminishing returns, so please tell me how you magicly got all that Wexp?

Capping an entire borderland + killing a few zergs is 2-3 ranks max. Enemy has to recap things, you already got your own border. So no, you didn’t do it like this either. What you are saying ain’t even plausible.

Not hard to get if u spent all ur time in wvw, if not i suggest u keep all the liquid wxp flasks that drop from players or the one from laurels/badges, or simply leave it as its just 1 achiev point and ppl in wvw are screwed anyway when it comes to acheiv points vs pve 15k+ acheivers

2 ranks really isn’t alot, also it’s not really there for non wvwers. Its there as an added convenience for that player base, same as ambient kills for pvers.

AMBIENT KILLS IS HARD MAN.

Fact that this is only a pve crying thread is seen as there is no one pointing out that doing a fractal actually will take every wvw player longer than i takes to get him 2 wvw lvls.
It would take me ages to do those kitten “4 events in ascalon” or whatever as i neither go to ascalon ever nor do i know which events to do there to get done quickly. On the other hand you can easily get done with all wvw achievments a day in under 1 hour if you aim for it (not to talk about many other daylies that can be done i wvw too). And DON’T tell me that you get your pve achievements done without aiming for it. I wanna see you suddenly appear at the end of a jumping puzzle and such.

But you know what just make it 1 lvl anet. The faster the achievment grinders leave the wvw servers the better.
