Seeing as im getting more and more into WvW, im looking to change to a more active server, the one im on just doesn’t seem to have any population for 22hours of the day, right now we have about 8 players on EBG, and its just depressing,

Any decent servers out there that have moderate coverage all day, but do not have the 2 hour queue times to get into them,

Also for those who have moved worlds during the week, where you able to join WvW or did you have to wait until reset.

No server has 2 hour queue times besides on reset night. Your best bet is either SoR, BG, or JQ. Right now SoR is the only server between those three that isn’t on the downhill. Others would be like Dragonbrand, Tarnished Coast, and whatever else is in T2.

moderate queue timer servers i believe would be t5/t6 servers. never extends 20 minute wait which really on occurs during reset night.

I dont see why you couldnt join wvw same day. the only thing i think you are prevented from doing is transfering to a new sever for 24 hours

I moved from RoF to Piken. Best thing I ever did.

I found a guild that actually DID WvW (almost exclusively in fact) where I simply couldn’t find one of Rof. Even those who claimed to be WvW didn’t organise at all or even use Teamspeak. I’m very happy with them and there are other guilds too that do the same thing in this tier on all servers.
We even have organised GvG fights on the borderlands. (and spectators too ! it’s all very civilised)

The zerg fights are epic too, if that’s your choice.

Queues exist – particularly at peak times, sometimes it can take maybe a half hour (worst case) to get into your battleground of choice but unless you have a guild assignment, you can just pick one of the others.

I would echo Ok I Did It with the exception that JQ and BG are not in decline, all T-1, T-2 servers go through cycles. A long-term T-1 or T-2 position in WvW requires a serious commitment to WvW skill and team development for the server. You can review the . You might want to wait until after this Tuesday’s (28 May) reset to see how the tiers are reorganized to make your decision.

Queues on reset times don’t bother me so much, due to work commitments I tend to miss them anyway, most of my WvW play time is from 4am-6pm ( server time ) (7am-9pm EST ) so aslong as the server as good coverage in them times its all good.

I was considering the wait until the update, but really that wont change anything, the server just doesn’t have the population when we cannot even muster 20 people on a Saturday/sunday lunchtime to play its time to seek a new server.

T1 and T2 has ques friday reset night i had to wait about an hour to get in, but with t hat said T2 i think has the best match up right now all server are mostly even in numbers but FA and DB has better EU coverage. but other than that T2 is fun and thats where ive been for the past several months.

If you want a server that got almost zero queue times in NA or EU prime time, consider Kaineng. Even on reset nights we only got queue in one of the four maps. On the weekdays we pretty much never have queues.

Edit: I just read your play hours of 4am-6pm. That’s Oceanic to EU time. You might want to consider a British server. We do have some great Oceanic guilds in Kaineng but English might be a problem.

You probably never tried TaG i see. There are few other WvW guilds that are working their kitten of in WvW 24/7 as well. So dont trash talk about RoF since you probably havent tried much to find WvW guild. Only problem RoF got now is us not having strong US guild so we dont have late night coverage.

so its oceanic and eu time, i think blackgate would be not bad choice ( if sserver time = na server)

I am in the UK but play on a NA server, all my friends from GW1 are on the NA, there are other euros on the server, I seen Kaineng have good coverage as do DragonBrand.

I have a feeling once the new reward system for wvw is put in there and that you can get ascended neck and rings from wvw you will see wvw activeness kick up a good bit. Most likely to the point that we will see ppl saying GW2 is only about WvW.
Simply put its a very bad time to transfer wait a week or so and see how things pan out for where you are and other places.
