Guild Wars 2

Hello my friend and I used to play back in October I think and one of us switched worlds (back when it was free). Anyways we want to get back on the same world again and I just noticed thakittens like 1800 gems or something, which is a LOT of money for us. Both of us have a few gold. Is there any way for us to get on the same world without guesting. Also is there any downside to guesting? Thanks guys

Guesting you can play together in everything except WvW.

One of you can delete all your characters and move all soulbound stuff to your bank and then transfer to other person’s server without paying anything.

If you don’t mind deleting all of your characters, the transfer is free. Items in your bank will go with you, as will things like laurels and whatnot. If you’ve put a lot of time into your characters, however, starting over is a hassle.

The only downside to guesting is that you don’t have access to server/guild buffs. Also, if you plan to WvW, you won’t be able to play together there.

Looks like my friend and I need to come up with 1800 gems…

Transferring to a medium pop server is only 500 gems.

All the medium ones are Europe. I would much prefer a U.S. one for connection.

That’s a point I always forget.
