I think it would be better. You’d save inventory space, and you could get it automatically (like in sPvP) without needing to loot it. Amidst a battle, or from afar using siege, looting is too difficult and you usually miss your rewards.

Actually…that sounds like a pretty darn good idea to me lol. Not only would it be quicker for the loot gain since it could just come straight to you, you’d save an inventory space. I dunno if they can do that though, because the other forms of currency, gold and karma that is, are character bound things, so I’m not sure if they can make account bound currency like that since badges are account bound.

Karma and Glory already work like this, specially Glory.

Glory does yes, karma does not quite though. Glory is account based, karma is character based only.

Since PvP is probably a separate server for them it is likely easy to make glory account bound. We are talking about a number currency, and since glory replaces your exp bar in PvP, this couldn’t replace it though because you still use and get exp in WvW.

+1 although I do kinda like the effect of, ’Omg I got a kill in the midst of battle and died but the enemy dropped a loot bag! —--! there could be a badge of honor in there! ’

As long as it stays Accound Bound, I’m ok with this.

As long as it’s account-wide currency, sounds decent.

I think everyone is on board with you for this idea, in BWE, badges would be on characters body instead of loot bag next to you, now it’s loot bag that drops next to you.

I read somewhere that this is difficult to implement at the moment. Regardless this should get moved to suggestions forum
