Yup the thiefs are squishy but still come on clicking in so few buttons thats not even right. And if you want to be an “archer” you wont go Ranger you go DH because that seems to have alot mroe damage..
I was messing around with DH last night. I’m full PVT and I was getting 7-10k crits on AA Skill 1.

Thief didn’t see any damage increases except it’s AA, though.
The damage you’re seeing isn’t anything new and hasn’t been anything new since 2012.
If anything, it’s lower, because ANet has improved armor and passive defenses so much since release.

I have always over 2.4/2.5k + Armor and still get 2shoted if not 1, Sometimes i go with 3.1k Armor with bunker build but still 2/3 shots im dead and its not condis
Thievs are only squishy if you build them squishy. An example I run my thief with 210% crit dmg, 2647 power, 15k health, 50% crit chance and 2300 armor (scrapper runes) I met a glass thief last night who was hitting 4.8k-5.3k shadow shot. But could only take about 13k dmg to him self and he was toast. I know he was built squishy because my crippling strike (playing as s/d) hot him for 6k. And in a team fight I stole from a warrior and the skill just melted the thief from the duration of basilisk venom (even if he was bad, he focusd everything on dmg and nothing else)
Thives don’t need to be full glass to be effective in fact it’s the opasit unless you are very experienced and just want to play yolo.

You are both glassy with that build. Even with nearly 20k HP thieves are glassy in the current meta.

That isn’t so bad as valk/cavalier, SA/hidden killer thieves in the past, but yeah, there are some builds that are pretty broken, good sustain,mobiltiy and dps, more so than in sPvP, so small scale fights aren’t really fair.
You even notice it in large scale tbh.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.
