I can’t join from Yak’s Bend. Tried all 4 maps and they all give a “unavailable while matchups are being updated” popup.

It’s down for me as well. Can’t connect to Blackgate, Dragonbrand, or Jade Quarry. Please investigate.

With wvw down I’ve had to resort to pve. Currently running around lions arch with an endless mystery tonic, this is the extent of my pve.

It is kind of annoying to do this at Prime Time!

Always a good sign when servers go down with no warning and no response from the responsible party. That doesn’t fly in the real world…..

This is a serious internal process failure on ArenaNet’s part.

You disable key functionality of your game without warning for over an hour in NA primetime and not a single ArenaNet employee can provide even a single line status update?

This is how I spend my time while WvW is down.

Since ArenaNet can’t be bothered to control their own message let’s play a game and speculate on why WvW is down. It would be irresponsible for us not to speculate.

My guess? Major security screwup.

Who knows if this was planned or not

All I know is after a weekend of fail, TC managed to get a 60 man zerg together in SoR borderlands, and as we were running into their garrison, the servers went down. Not going to insult them, I’m sure its not intentional and servers on this scale are very complex and tough to keep up. but still….

The NSA has hacked into the WvW servers so they can record all map chat and store it in a top secret data collection center in the name of national security.

The upload of all the chatlogs of cybering in WvW zones to the NSA overloaded their 56K modem. It would explain what all the people standing around in the citadel are doing…

they are busy doing “open world” on a ranger, admiring how great rangers are in open world

Actually, I am SoR…. i was watching watergate, gave warning…..jumped on oil at inner, then gave it up to Mini, then poof…booted

We are aware of issues with WvW on some NA worlds, we are looking into it. ^MK
