Alright, if you haven’t hear of who Professor Sensei or I, Carmine Valkyrie, are, we are the Duo Capping Thieves of Tarnished Coast. We have flipped towers from opposing servers consistently and laugh at enemy zergs. Thus the reason for my post is this: I propose a challenge to anyone out there with a buddy to Duo Cap a tower as fast as you can. Fastest team wins.

Post a video link here with proof. Currently, our fastest time is approximately 30 seconds. I will post a video with proof as soon as I find it. Game on.

duo-ing a tower lord isn’t exactly a challenge or something worth gloating about. There’s plenty of vidi’s of thieves >>solo<<ing them. Jus go to linksville if you’ve never seen them <.<;;. Post a video of duoing a keep lord

Pink Monkey’s [DEVS] already holds the all-time records for tower capping and thief profession excellence. We’ve re-wrote the book on the thief class and are Gods among insects whenever we’re out. Sorry.

I’m referring to using two thieves to kill and cap the lord room in a tower without breaking down an enemy gate or wall, or being ported in by a mesmer. That is included in the challenge. We do not break into the towers or use any siege. We are already in the tower and stay in there while it is flipped.

So the tower gets flipped, then you take it back within 30 seconds? Still sounds legit.

Hide in a corner, chain stealth, kill lord

It’s not a challenge. I’ve solo’d dozens by now.

Change to supervisor 5min buff makes it impossible in under 30 seconds though.

Okay I guess I should have explained better, trolling could have been a little less. Cap is done after the lord buff is down. Timer starts when you enter combat and ends when the tower is capped.

Sooo, basically, how fast two thieves can spike down an npc?

Pretty much I guess. We do dozens of tower flips a day (althought KC seems to be catching on but FA is still as stupid as ever). We have gone as fast as to drop the lord in roughly 12 seconds but the 30 second runs are done with lord kill and tower flip. He’s not saying the tower is done 30 seconds after it is flipped but after we go into combat and the fight starts.

This doesn’t seem like much of a challenge. The only challenge is getting the other team to be so stupid to not sweep for obvious thieves.

We have had zergs sweep for us after we have flipped the tower 3 times, and it still takes them a long while to actually find us to take us down.

In short, wish you well on your contest… I guess. Just not something I’m overly impressed with is all. I’d possibly be moreso if you were rangers or something. Done SM with naught but two rangers. Those SM lord’s room fellows are no walk in the park with so few. Again though, that’s PvDoor as well, and it’s generally not something one brags about. It’s something dirty that you sometimes have to do yet wish you could just wash it off your skin.

Yes every thief, please do accept his challenge and make this a topic on how perma-stealth is game breaking.

Or we could just skip it and get straight to the point by saying perma-stealth is game breaking?

You are two players exploiting the most broken mechanic in the game (stealth, in case you haven’t got it yet), playing the class that needs the most fixing and the least skill to play, and you come on the forums to boast about it?

Chewy, check out all those thief haters. Yea, the thief has been nerfed and kittened over something awful. Did they get extra hp, toughness, def to compensate for the lose of some skill’s effects, the addition of longer debuffs, the lose of passive durations? Do the thieves roll over and die? Nope. Why? Because we love to strike fear and terror into your very soul.

If you’re not impressed with the fact that we can stay hidden and retake a tower, ummmm don’t watch. If you don’t have anything constructive to contribute, ummmm don’t post. It’s a simple concept actually. But it does require discipline. Which soooo many of you have already proven you don’t have. The proof will be any vids that appear and/or the flaming that will ensue.

That said, I don’t have any way of videoing my adventures. Not that I can beat 30 secs.

Cuz I’ll pass on trying to beat you at this game. I’d rather just beat you.

I really don’t see why there is so much hate on this thread. Hiding in stealth isn’t a “hard” thing to do and it isn’t a “hard” thing to counter. We move around dodging peoples line of sight. If they can see our red ring it leads to either a /t “hey come to (tower) and help me stop these thieves” or that person forcing us out. There are plenty of ways to counter our tactics and 99% of them involve just standing NEAR the area we are in. That’s it! The reality is we can duo towers quickly because we have been doing it for months and know all the good tacos to use.

tl:dr – Chewy made this thread because we want to see more people trying out duo capping teams.

Side Note: Both of us can solo towers. I’ve done it a few times myself. The problem lies in how long it takes. We duo because it is easier to stay in stealth for extended periods of time and when it comes time to cap it takes us roughly 30-45 seconds for a full capture. In that time someone needs to notice that white swords popped, call it out in chat, then go check it out.

We don’t hack into towers, we stealth in, wait, you leave, and then we flip after 5 mins.

Can you please share all your hiding spots in the video. I want to be a less stupid FA player but its extremely hard unless someone is holding my hand.

Can’t be done in 30 seconds. Tower Lord has a, i think, 3 minutes buff when tower is flipped.

Lol, its a 5 minute buff, and if you haven’t read through some posts, we cap after the buff is gone. It is approx 30 seconds to kill him and capture the tower once the lord buff is down.

That is significantly less of a reflection on your abilities than on the incompetence of the other server.

So what you are really saying is you do everything you can to avoid actually fighting any players because you are too talentless to play anything else but some garbage perma-stealth crap.
