I invite anyone to counter my proposal, please tell me why it wouldn’t make sense.

Stacking 1 or 2 confusion on self every time you use an ability for every 20 people from your own server in range of the ability you are using would end the age of the zerg/blob.

That number would have to be tested for balancing.

Numbers will still matter, but what a server does with those numbers will matter more if it becomes un-sound to run arround in a big blob.

Right now zerg or blob are the winning (non)tactics in WvW, frankly it is boring and sickening and when in an uneven match-up it is a leveling mechanic for most people. iI would like this to end and this is my suggestion for ending it.

This solution even makes sense, it is logical and i think that most people would even expect it to be that way. It is totally analogous with real life and how a battlefield works. 25 people standing on top of each-other using skills to the point where you ant even see your own character should be confusing.

What is the confusion damage and duration based off? Damage should be based on a percentage of your health and duration should be a flat rate so that no one can get arround it.

Just think about it, formations and positioning would suddenly become very important in large scale fights.

Another way is to increase damage done to you based on the number of people around you, the more people close-by (almost on top of you) the more damage you take from ALL attacks. The opposite of distributed damage. Arrow carts should have that by default. +50% damage for EACH ally, clone and pet within 100 units of you.

And watch the blob spread out like butter over too much bread.

No this is not logical nor does it make sense.

All it would then take is that 1 more person to cause a large group of players that are trying to not be over the limit and we already have enough people griefing others.

You cannot use debuffs as a way to counter something you don’t like. That is just plain stupid.

These kind of suggestions do not make sense because we have enough people causing grief with siege, we don’t need someone to cause other players to have a debuff or condition.

A group would be working to keep the numbers down under the limit and all it would take is a player to put a group of players over the limit and cause the condition.

So, now we would have siege griefers and then we would give those players another tool to grief the rest of the map. Good going.

Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean you need to suggest something so stupid that it would ruin a lot of fun for the rest of us.
