It ranges from wasting supplies at keeps, suiciding golems off a cliff side, turning all defensive siege opposite direction (Catapults and trebuchets facing door).

With the addiction of Leagues it will only get worse and there is no selection on the report menu to make it easy. How do you pan to combat this?

They don’t, free trial weekend and they don’t
A) disable mail on new accounts to stop them receiving the money or siege plans to grief with.
B) just flat out disable wvw access for free accounts.

It doesnt take much foresight to see this kinda thing happen but they are too focused on pulling new people in and not taking care of the ones they already have -_-

You know how weird it sounds right? When you say “no, we don’t want ppl to try out our gamemode” (lol that sentence reminds me of something…. AHUM nvm!).

I know there are griefers, but it’s kinda like saying “1 tourist killed himself and some other ppl in amsterdam…. No more tourists allowed!”

Instead, give them good ideas on what to implement that could prevent this from happening. The 90% of normal people that want to try it, won’t be able to, just because of the few spies/trolls/griefers.

They own the company, so yeah. Technologically t is just another server, but the trials only go there. So, cost of another server and a small out of code for choosing servers. They could even guest on normal servers because guests can’t join the guest server’s wvw.

I doubt they’re going to do that. Seems quite expensive to do, for people who aren’t even customers (yet) AND for something that only occurs once every few months, for a few days.

Actually, why not fight the other trial servers. It would be more fun that fighting a server full of people who knew the game already and had huge amounts of coverage.

Seriously, if the griefing continues, it will kill WvW completely and they will lose more money from WvW dying than they will gain from signing up people from trials.

Actually, I am saying allow them full access to all features on a special server. All other solutions mean limiting access on normal servers, so the experience would be you could go to WvW, but you couldn’t talk, or listen in chat, take supply, build things, etc.

Trial servers give a more full experience while preventing the griefers.

I think it would give the ppl doing the trial a bad impression of what wvw is about if you do this. You put all trials on 1 server. None of them know what to do, and they face 2 servers that have “real players”… gg no re. 3 trial servers facing eachother will probably not be viable either since I doubt all 3 servers would be filled with wvw trials. And again, it would not be a good impression for what wvw is really about.

It’s difficult to find a good solution that doesnt victimize the trials AND the regulars. But I do agree something should be done about it.

It’s just not trial accounts, that’s pretty easy to combat disable them from picking up dropped siege plans and disable mail and all bank access. I am talking about real grefing and Alt accounts.

Or you could have an option to recognize a friendly foe as ennemy, and kill him publicly.
