WvW Jumping Puzzle Ceasefire
We are all in the jumping puzzles for the same reason, to challenge ourselves, collect badges, or for acheivements. If we were trying to find someone to kill, we’d approach a keep or get into a zerg group.
I go to the jumping puzzle to kill invaders and laugh at them. I guess we aren’t all in the jumping puzzle for the same reason.
Is fighting fair? Of course, it’s a battleground, that’s what’s suppose to happen isn’t it. Is it frustrating? Again of course, I have the experience of people pulling off ledges or even killing me right before I reach the chest. Don’t you?
Respect is mutual, sadly that’s not what most seeks anyway.
Oh and the players defending fighting in jumping puzzles because they want to defend against people getting siege weapons…, makes me smile every single time. Can’t we just make everything easy and agree on people fighting/ganking others just like the fun of seeing other peoples’ time wasted? Yes we as human likes to seek satisfaction of through other peoples misfortune, don’t be ashamed to admit that.
Why try covering that up with the veneer of helping the server as a whole. We all know the blueprints are dirt cheap, we all know the real fights lies in the supplies not some siege blueprints, how many times have you seem unfinished sieges lying around? How many times have you lost locations because there aren’t a single drop of suppie left in that shed? The real WvW invested players will never bother with camping in the jumping puzzles, dare I say they will go capture or defend locations where points are counted based upon? Those 5 people groups will do a lot more favor to your server doing something useful rest of the map.
If you just like to fight, if the intention is just to troll others, or get some free kills because usually people in JP are reluctant to fight back, just admit it. I don’t think it’s respectful (by other servers) or commendable (by your server) actions, but hey, all is fair in the free battleground, I would actually take people like that more seriously. Just don’t lie.

If you want to fight, there is a battlefield for it. Go there and fight there.
I have limited time for this game, and I want to make this puzzle daily. I don’t have that much time to do this puzzle again and again each time I got killed because of getting thrown down the cliff.
And what’s with sieges in JP? Really?
I just wanna do JP, get my badges and get the hell out of there, that’s all. I personally never attack to my enemies in JP unless they attack to me.
We should not be able to fight in JP imo. Doing it already wants skills, and doing it while fighting is pain in the kitten…

There’s plenty of pve jumping puzzles. If you want to do Jumping puzzles, go there.
If you’re only doing the thing for badges (for a legendary, for example), and not for the fun of the puzzle, well – badges are supposed to be gained from pvp. Giving them out for completion of a pve jumping puzzle would be stupid. Be glad that you can actually gain badges without an absolute requirement to kill people at all.
People that want fun PvE puzzles have plenty of choice. People that enjoy PvP on jumping puzzles (which can be pretty fun actually, the combination of fighting whilst trying to stay on is a good challenge) have only two distinct puzzles to do so on. You’re suggesting to remove those two? Really?

No truce, if enough PvE players are griefed, and complain. Then Anet will do the right thing and remove them. Though I would like the traps to be available in the main pvp areas.

We need the Dev’s to make the entrances invulnerability zones. Or, simply make each world’s population invisible to each other within the Jumping Puzzles.

Again, there’s plenty of Jumping puzzles out there with no PvP which people of that mindset can enjoy. You’re complaining because there’s two (or four, depending on how you see it) puzzles that can be fought over?
There are plenty of people out there that enjoy pvp on jumping puzzles, and the WvW JPs are there for them. If you don’t like them, there are tonnes of pve puzzles out there to have fun with. If you absolutely have to do them for the badges, be thankful that you have a puzzle that even gives you a possiblity of avoiding wvw. Those badges are obtained in WvW, you’re expected to have to fight a bit to get them. It’s a PvP currency, it would be completely stupid to make it available without requiring at least some form of exposure to enemy players.
You can already do the whole thing invisible, making it easier to run up unmolested than it should be anyway.

This completely. Allowing the enemy to get siege in turn to use against me. No thanks.
WVW JP is in a WvW area and therefore remain a part of the “if it’s red, it’s dead” mentality to me and a few others.
I tried occasionally being nice about going in, ignoring people etc. Too many times has it bit me in the kitten People are going to have to fight for their siege.

From a design perspective they are perfect. They create drama. You have people talking about them on the forums. From this guy wanting a cease fire, to another that wants to kill em all. Beautiful drama. Throw in a random rampaging Npc that drops some loot… Oh my
Meh all I’ll say is if they attack me then I’ll attack back otherwise just go get it JP’s shouldn’t be in WvW anyways pulls far to many players away from the fun

I prefer not to give my opponents free siege in EB. The less people getting through to the end, the less siege my opponents have to use against me.
As long as you don’t play on my server, I say camp tje jp’s all you want. It removes defenders from your keeps and makes them all that faster to take.

I, too, have limited time for this game, but I want every legendary. Can I just, you know, have them, for free, right now?
We’re back to “I want stuff, but I don’t want to do the stuff to get it”. “The stuff” you have to do to complete the EB JP is either fight or avoid fighting.
The jumping puzzle is one of the best sources of badges in the game… and I don’t mean from the chest.
