Sorry if it has been asked before.
According to the Blogpost I interpret the leagues are split up according to the actual rank at the start of the change on October 4th.

On the other hand I heard people say that its taking an average over the last years matchups.
Can you guys enlighten me?

7 weeks = 7 matchups (as far as we know). Let’s be conservative and say that you will be spawn camped 24/7 whenever you’re in a match-up with servers #1-5. That makes at least 3 match-ups of 24/7 spawn camping.

3/7 is almost half the matches. That is how bad the seasons are going to be for servers near the bottom.

leagues are gonna be awesome, we ticked 690 at one point today….. PERSONAL CONTROL ANET, you see the matchups CHANGE IT if its this bad…

With all due respect, I’d much rather be the #11 than the #1 server in that match up.

You have people to kill on every map with a free repair bill, that’s really not that bad.

Meanwhile the people on BG/SoR are sitting on teamspeak drunk, singing Katy Perry songs, and farming the centaurs for bags because they have nothing else to do.

But the guys sitting around drunk singing Katy perry songs are gonna get the best rewards purely due to coverage and numbers.

Sorry, your opinion as well as common sense means nothing.

If Anet genuinely think this is the best thing they can do level the WvW playing field in preparation for the leagues, then they have a very narrow understanding of WvW.

Yes. This is not good for anybody. Those of us who run 10 feet out of spawn, get killed, but can respawn without repair bills (allowing us to do it again and again and again and … what’s on TV? “BrideZilla”? I’ll be right there.). Those who are bored and singing Katy Perry, and those who have to listen.
