In the patch notes the following is stated:

Updated map completion rewards for Plains of Ashford and all World-versus-World maps to match the map level/content.

Now I have already completed all WvW Maps and I got like 20-30 copper and some green low level items lv26 if I remember correctly. Since the rewards are updated how can I get my correct rewards for the map completition on Eternal Battlegrounds and the three Borderlands. Since they are level 80 ones I assume the rewards are exotic/yellow items?

Also already have 100% map completion. Will we receive retrospective rewards pls ?

ha ha oh god I completed all wvw maps last night, BURN to me!

Just completed a borderland map on a twink. Got 2 blueprints, 3 transmutation stones, and 10 badges of honour. Since i dont WvW with the twink and just wanted to do map completion since our server holds all maps, the blueprints are completely useless to me.
And i can already see people creating new chars, do map completion on the maps their server holds copletely, put the badges of honour in the bank, delete twink and repeat, sind running over a map to get 10 badges seems faster then getting them in fights.

going to be honest Cathach that is a very slow method, you’d have to complete your turtoial each time and then just running over the whole map would be a nightmare.

you can get 10 badges in about 30 minutes roaming solo or in 10 minutes with a medium sized group. I am happy that there are WvW rewards now though sounds like a good improvement

Please do not spam the topic with irrelevent things. Getting 10 badges is 1-2 20+ people fights.

My question stands still:
Will the people that got “wrong” rewards for map completition get the correct one after the patch and how.

in all fairness Cal,

IMO its not that big a reward for us to care about, we already got our mediocre reward and we can complete these maps on alt characters. its not like a 100% world comp reward or a end of story line reward. its similar to dungeon rewards and so its been changed and now we can only benefit should we get it on new characters.

@Kyus, I hardly in honor badge, 40 badges are 1 month = WvW, SO i needed it badly to get my 500 badges collection!.

I appreciate your pain.. I guess the fact I WvW a lot lets me be quite biased.

If you dedicate a day too it you should net 150-200 badges, remember the legendary weapon isn’t meant to be that much of a cake walk ;-)

so do i.. i have completed all 4 World Versus World maps and got only lvl 26 junk.. thanks Arena-Net for giving other people profit who’s about do done maps…

Honestly, I read this last night and hopped that they would someone give people that already completed the maps the updated rewards.

Pffft, getting seriously tired of getting jipped by these changes just because I go out to get stuff done. Monthly XP completion and now map completion too?

This is what we get for playing a game still in beta?

I think some people are having an overly serious reaction to what are purely supplemental rewards. some of the responses are bordering on childish, arena net could just leave it as is but they have improved it for new people doing the rewards. accept that you are unlucky and just enjoy playing the game. rewards are nice, playing well and enjoying the experience is what counts.

It not about enjoy or experience. It is not fair simple as that. I know that 10 people will say meh get over it it is a game, however I don`t see a single logical point why people X and Y should get completly different rewards (in both usability and level usage) for doing the same exact thing.

Its 10 badges of honor and 2 blue prints that now you can get on another character. games evolve and change they can’t backdate everything with every change. what is important is they look and identify a reward that isn’t quite up to scratch and then alter it. If you want your 10 badges and 2 blue prints you can easily make an alt complete a map and get them. or you could just walk out into WvW play for 30-40 minutes and have the same silver and badges.

self entitlement to everything spoils mmo’s I missed out on these rewards for all of these zones, I completed all of them last night. my response to this news is simply lol bad luck..

How on earth this is self entitlement?! I had no idea what the new rewards were when I posted first:

It is not about the rewards it is what is fair. Read at least once with understanding.

Cal just take a moment as that kind of sounds like ranting, which was sort of what I was talking about.

If they can easily give you the rewards they will. However I doubt that it is that simple for them to do so.

the fact is its not fair, but what they have done is better for the game as a whole and there has to be a cut off point where the community just lets them get on with it rather than cry about a few easily obtained lost rewards.

If we don’t do this you could argue that a jumping puzzle chest that you completed that now gives better rewards should be handed to you. or if you obtained less experience from an event thats now been upgraded that should be back dated to you.

If they change these rewards in the future to be less than what they are now should they be able to take some badges and transmutation stones from peoples accounts. I’d imagine you’d say no.

when you play an mmo you play a ruleset that is set at that time you play that build of the game. They change it some people profit some people loose out. a good company compensates for major issues but this is frankly so minor it just needs to be chalked off as bad luck.

Go do the map with another character? What would you like to bet the rewards are soul-bound, which doesn’t help in the slightest.

Considering how much in this game is account bound and NOT soul bound, this has got to be the dumbest assumption I have heard yet on these forums. The devs even said that the legendary weapons may not be soulbound. You are honestly just looking for reason to cry and are making your-self look very dumb.

Teulux, you can just kiss my kitten. I will rant when I want to because I have put a lot of effort into some parts of this game and twice in one day I found out my work is apparently not worth the same as others.

So you are the only person to put work into the game and not get what you feel the full benefit of your reward should be. I get it now the devs should do everything to make you happy and not give a kitten about anyone else. Simply because you are the only one to put effort into the game.

Forgive me I will make sure every post I make now tells the devs how hard you have worked on the game, and how each reward you get should be exactly the same as every other player in the game.

Honestly though who gives a crap, all zone rewards are a total of 50s max. I kitten 50s out every time I kitten my kitten. Learn how to really make money and you wont have to kitten about 50 kitten silver.
