WvW Matchup Complaint
Define broken in this case? It appears to be an over used, and poorly unoriginal buzzword, that doesn’t mean what 99% of the posters here seem to think it means.

There are a lot of WvW only players, what do you expect them to do for a week?
Broken? Tier 2 matchups in which 2 of the servers have no hope since the Green one vastly outnumbers them. Matchups decided, not by skill, but sheer numbers. NA servers that have a seemingly huge number of SEA players.
Unless all of this was by design, then bravo. Job well done.
One way to fix this is to not allow a player to join a server outside of their actual region. So, no EU players on NA, and vice versa.
Yeah, um, that is not what broken means, but okay.
You mean one way to hurt this? Because that is all your suggestion does. Why should all of my friends in the far east, Europe, and Australia, who I have played MMOs with for years and years, be banned from playing together because of your bad idea?
What NA T2 server is outnumbered? As a player who transferred with my guild (and otheres we are allied with) from NA kitten T2, I have sen nothing but very comparative numbers and coverage between them.

Judging from the OP, he actually means the T3 matchup because it always has one T2 level server on it and been that way for months. The T2 matchup is actually reasonably close, but the T3 matchup has been broken for way too long.
This is going to be a problem in T3 until one of the T2 servers implodes, or the unlikely scenario that the T3 servers build up. Suppose the T3 servers cooperated against the T2 server and concentrated forces on one map. Given the population cap per map, if they could queue that map they would outnumber the T2 server there. This would not win the matchup, but might make the week more tolerable or even enjoyable. This is one case where double teaming doesn’t seem wrong to me.
The screen grab is of T3 and I can hazard a guess and say that it’s Dragonbrand’s insane pvdooring. Chances are the other two servers don’t have the combined coverage to make a difference even in a full on, constant 2v1 ( which takes a bite out of the fun after a while).

Sometimes you have to sacrifice a bit to get what you want. In this case, give up a week of GW2 and praying Anet even bothers to notice.
That said, people play to have fun so there’s pretty much zero chance of OP’s idea coming to fruition (at least in an organized way).
That said, if it keeps going like this, people won’t bother showing up (it’s already happening… hence the score) and maybe it will come to be.
Anet didn’t break T3, the players did when they created four T2 servers. There’s no easy solution to the situation, either. No change to the matchmaking system could prevent two servers from being vastly outnumbered by the other server in T3. At best, a change to the matchmaking system could spread the pain around to servers other than NSP and IoJ more often.

Even if it weren’t ridiculously unfair to force players in other regions on to other servers (note that DB’s SEA coverage has been there since the start of gw2 when there were no servers in China), the T2 servers outnumber NSP and IoJ vastly even in NA. They consistently queue all 4 maps at reset and at least 2 maps during NA primetime during the week from what I’ve been told, and NSP and IoJ are barely able to queue 1 at reset and very rarely during the week.

Draaagonwaaaaggon bigger than Devon’s hype train.
If players really wanted T2, they could have just transferred to T2. :p
