WvW: Quantity Over Quality?
If you want to be the best you need 24 hour map coverage. It has been discussed all over the place, but that’s the fact. If not then you will not be #1, but there is nothing wrong with that and doesn’t stop anyone from having fun and enjoying the game.
We’re not looking to be #1. We’re barely looking to reach the top 10 right now. The problem is we’re a half decent world that has been bumped down to the nose-bleeds because we don’t have a large enough WvW population. We’re doing extremely well during the day but we lose it all at night. We simply can’t provide 24 hour coverage, we aren’t holding anything back, its Arena Net’s responsibility to balance the worlds.
We have to fight for our points during the day, and we do. But worlds like Darkhaven got their points by doing virtually nothing, other than having more people than us.
If you’re looking for fair fights, do sPvP Conquest maps. Those are specifically designed to be fair.
WvW is a sandbox, it’s not going to be balanced.
See but that’s not true. You’re just defending it because that’s the way it is. If WvW wasn’t designed to be balanced, why did they implement a matchmaking system?
Seems like the issue with Darkhaven is that we can barely muster enough people in NA primetime hours since I get inside our battlegrounds without a queue 80% of the time and if the map is has a queue the other 3 maps don’t have one. We seem to have a bigger EU/Pacific timezone players so therefore we could not hold our own in NA primetime. We can manage to hold to maybe 1-2 of the 4 maps but lack the numbers during those times.

Like a lot of wars- given weaponry and playing field being mainly even- whoever has the largest army wins.
