recently myself and others have found others using WvW to farm items (some using bots and others not) on regular PvE type mobs also players using 3rd party tools so that they can afk in WvW maps so they do not have to wait in queues.
Farmers
It seems that people farm WvW for the item drops and do nothing to contribute to help the server try win the match. i found 2-3 groups of people doing this at random times, mostly with “outmanned” buff on. also when when you see only ~50 people taking part in the battles over the map and there are queues to get into the map its obious there are players PvE farming/Doing jumping puzzles
one way to stop this, after speaking with a guild member, is to stop the random mobs dropping any loot and not giving exp, with exception of sentry/fort guards/supply camp NPCs/invaders/defenders/etc. this should reduce or stop people entering WvW maps just to PvE farm mobs and reducing queues for some servers. if you want to PvE farm then go to the PvE area’s
Botters and AFK’ers
AFK people are really annoying, majority of the time they use 3rd party tools to stay on the map while they attend to real life stuff that will last more than 10 mins or if they go to sleep. majority of the time they are in the starter/citadel areas
there was 1 guild with 20+ members that spent 3 hours in the starter area while organizing and waiting on their guild to enter the map and refusing to partake in WvW. this sort of thing should be stopped.
i am sure that if someone is sitting in the starter area/citadel for over 10 mins, having Determined buff and siege deployment blocked buff they are not taking part in WvW and should be removed. this is 1 way of solving the issue with people AFKing in starter/citadel area’s with bots running.
there are other bots that is a known issue with the player base and probably A.Net such as fly hacking, gravity hacking, speed hacking, etc that does need to be prevented
Orb Stealing via Fly Hacks
this has happened number of times since the recent match reset between Seafarer’s Rest Vs. Kodash Vs. Desolation and the person doing this has been found out, and reported, to be cocobloco.4617/Edwardus Maximus as shown in the following link
a simple XYZ coordinate check/comparison could prevent the fly hacking etc and flag suspicious behaviour. However, this may provide some false positives but with some checks in logs i am sure that the appropriate players get banned.
Please A.Net do something as soon as you can to deal with these people. Bot AFK’ers and PvE farmers are one of the causes of long queues in WvW when thier spot can be replaced with people that actually want to take part in the WvW battle.

On the PvE farmers, this one is actually quite easy. They tend to be farming the krait, so a simple jaunt by the GMs into that area would easily eliminate the 50 or so bots that pop up in each one
