WvW Rating System
how would you determine who is a good player and who is a poor player?
At the moment the players with the most skills – aka solo roamers – tend to have the fewest wvw ranks… while those who run skill 1 in large blobs have the highest ranks.
Not to mention the differences in class… warriors, guardians, elementalists and other classes that can tag multiple targets on average rank up faster than classes such as mesmers that do very little damage – although lots of people qq about them, it actually takes a lot longer and a lot more skill to kill people on a mesmer than it does a warrior and that is not including the number of skills that fail on a mesmer during a fight (for example, I was fighting a thief the other day and every single skill I had failed in the first engagement – leaving me with almost no skills to fight with except dodge and shatter – until my skill bars recharged, in the end the thief ran away from me).

this idea would actually work very well for players who aren’t in a guild and who don’t have any friends they play with.
for people who play with others, it kind of sucks that the game would prevent you from playing with your buddies just because your rating is different from theirs.
